Another Melissa & Doug hit! Love how easy this is for my daughter to open the doors and explore this toy on her own (22 months). Itâs a great puzzle style educational toy that has great replay value, since we have found new ways to play with it as my daughter has reached new milestones. Great value! Perfect to start around 18 months even.

Great for 1 1/2 year old
This is a very sturdy, attractive, and easy to use puzzle. It keeps him busy opening the doors and putting the matching animal in and out of the doors. He loves âhidingâ the objects. The size is perfect for him to carry.

Great Gift – grandson loved it
I really wonder whether the hinges would hold up under a 2 year old boy – but this toy is nicely made. Very sturdy and the hinges fold all the way back so it lays flat. I think that is why the kids don’t break it off. My grandson (just turned two) loves hiding the magnets under the wrong doors and then laughs when we acted surprised at what is inside. He then moves the items around to the right doors. My only complaint is that it doesn’t fit well into the puzzle rack that Melissa & Doug sells on their site.

My 1 year old really loves this toy. It has 2 drawbacks that impact durability⦠1.) The pieces are made of wood but topped with paper. The paper images are tearing off and it looks really beat up with normal use after about a month. 2.) The magnets are very strong. Itâs sometimes difficult for me to get the pieces out, let alone my baby. Prying the pieces out contributes to the torn paper around the edges of every piece.

So much fun
My one year old grandson is with me nine hours a day. He has blossomed into “new” experiences. These little doors took two days for him to figure out how to open, the opening is small and takes a moment to figure out. The doors overlap because of the small spaces when opened so he is learning cause and effect and problem solving. The magnets can be difficult to get out, but it is teaching him patience and perseverence. He has his favorite figures and walks them about my home. We have just begun putting them on the refigerator and learning to clean up by returning them to their homes in the puzzle. Great quality as usual with Melissa and Doug.

2 year old loved this! The magnetic pieces make this easy to store away and play with. He was able to understand the relationships between the objects and scenes after playing with it a few times. Well made and has survived some throwing around as toddlers do!

Nach einigen Bedenken vorab doch gekauft und sind zufrieden. Das Spielbrett ist recht massiv/schwer, die Türchen lassen sich gut bedienen und das Kind 16 Monate spielt gerne damit. Leider ist es nur mit einer Art “Folie” beschichtetes Holz, das geht sicher hochwertiger. Da wir aber keine ähnliche Alternative von anderen Anbietern gefunden haben, wurde es doch bestellt. Es ist ordentlich verarbeitet, nichts abgeplatzt, nichts löst sich bisher.

Bought this for my daughter when she was around 18 months and she loved it from say 1. I have therefore just bought it as an Xmas present for an 18 month old!At this age they become fascinated with opening and closing things, so even if they do not get the concept at first, the opening, the taking out and replacing is enough to keep then we’ll entertained for ages. Then as they get older and learn about each section, they learn where each but goes and why! Kids love this!Super well made and durable. Another winner from Mellosa and doug!
