Great puzzles and well thought out design
I bought these construction puzzles for my 4 yr old truck loving grandson. He was so excited when he saw these puzzles! He knew the names of all 4 and couldnât wait to put them together. Melissa & Doug toys are the best; this puzzle set exceeded my high expectation from previous M & D purchases. The box is sturdy. I love how the top makes a nice border to put each puzzle together. The puzzle pieces are smooth and went together easily. My grandson had no trouble fitting pieces together and quickly picked up on putting puzzle pieces back in their â cubbyâ as he called it. He had so much fun figuring out which piece went where; challenging but colors were so rich he had no problem looking at the picture and noticing tires or other parts to see if they fit together. I love that he enjoyed an activity that had nothing to do with a screen and he was having so much fun he didnât want to go home when Mom came to pick him up. I highly recommend M & D puzzles. They are challenging without being frustrating. The puzzle pieces are sturdy and should last through the next Grands that come along. Iâm planning to buy one of the other sets soon

Great gift!
Purchased as a gift for a 3-year-old who enjoys puzzles. The puzzles were not too difficult. Beautiful pictures with lots to talk about. Great for the 2 to 4 year old age range. Nice way to teach cleanup time with the storage box. Fun activity for quiet time.

Great set for young children. Very detailed pics and well made product
(I just wrote a long review for this item and went to submit it, and the words disappeared!! So this will be much shorter and to the point!!)My first impressions:1.) box was much smaller then I expected, especially for the price I paid.2) seemed heavy and very well builtChristmas morning:1.) when my son opened this present, he was ECSTATIC!!! At age 2 he was a puzzle master and dinosaur obsessed! He wanted to stop opening presents right away and put these puzzles together!Opening the box:1.) The plastic this box was wrapped in was easy to get into, the wooden lid on the box itself, not so much.. My son couldn’t get it open himself so he needed help with that.. It took some effort on my part to get it slid off as well, because the places that are cut out for the lid to slide in and out of are pretty stiff.. I guess that is a good thing though because after lots of use, you don’t want the lid to just start sliding off on its own.2.) Each puzzle took him about 5-7 minutes to get put together. The pictures on each puzzle were very detailed and colorful.3.) I worried about the paper pictures on the wooden pieces peeling off after continued use.4.) There are shapes on the back of each piece that helps you identify which pieces go together. There is also a separate compartment for each puzzle in the box. When he got done with the puzzles, I had him take them all apart and mix them together, then separate them by matching the shapes as they went back in the box. We noticed that 2 of the puzzles had shapes on the back that were VERY similar.. This could be a problem depending on the age and maturity of your child.Overall impression after 1 year of use:1.) This has been a favorite puzzle set for my son since he got it. He chose these puzzles several times over the other puzzles he owns.2.) The puzzle pieces and the storage box are still in great shape. No torn, peeling or missing paper from the pieces or the box, and no broken or loose wood on the box. They have held up well.3.) the storage box and the shapes on the puzzle pieces make him actually WANT to put the puzzles away when he’s finished with them (YESSS!!)4.) The recommended age may be a little off (in my opinion). It says ages 3 and up but my son was 2 when we got this and now at 3, he doesn’t use these puzzles as much as he use to because it only takes about 2 minutes to put together each one.I definitely recommend this puzzle set. After about 6-8 months of NON-STOP use, the puzzle pieces and the storage box still look as good as new!

Itâs a good set of puzzles, wish storage box fit them all.
I like this puzzle, my daughter enjoys it, she is 2, and after some practice she understood how to fit the pieces together without frustration. Now it is a regular thing she brings out. I like that itâs wood, so much better than cardboard. I like that the puzzles are not too complicated, it keeps her attention. I also like that there are 5 puzzles that come with this box. My only complaint is that there are only 4 slots to put the set away in and there are 5 puzzles. The 5th came on the top of cover, fine for display but not for home use. It means two of the puzzles have to be stored together. Itâs bothers my brain and confuses my daughter. Itâs not a deal breaker, I would still recommend it, just wish it had 5 slots.

The quality is good and all 4 puzzles are interesting for toddlers. Like the fact that it has markings( square, triangle, circle etc) on each puzzle type which helps in segregation. Keeps kids busy!

Our daughter really enjoys these puzzles. Once theyâre all over the floor, I like that the backs have symbols so you know which pieces belong to which puzzle without having to guess. I just wish they had a postcard with what the puzzle should look like. The tiny images on the box are hard for my daughter to make out.
