Runs big
This is a great waterproof sock made of high quality materials! Ordered a medium for our 26 lb., 15 yr old Cocker Spaniel. They were quite a bit too large, but fit our 46 lb. Standard Cava-poo perfectly, so will keep and order a small for our Cocker. (Both dogs are used to wearing socks….to help the old guy with his mobility and the pup for when the ground is so hot in the summer.) Helpful hint….I use 2″ wide cohesive tape to keep socks on. Their socks never fall off! I found the provided velcro straps on any dog sock you buy to be stiff and can cause raw spots and blisters. I never have that using tape and you can get a large multicolor pack for cheap on Amazon!

Difficult to put on, work well to prevent licking
I got these to stop my dog from licking off the cream I was putting on his irritated paw, and to protect his paw from moisture when he went outside. It worked great for the first purpose, not so well for the second. The first time he went outside with one of the boots on, he came back inside without it. So the next time he went outside with one of the boots on, I made sure the Velcro sock garter was snugly wrapped around his leg and…five minutes later, he came back inside without it. I figured he couldn’t have gotten that far in the short amount of time he was outside (and hadn’t had time to sit down and intentionally pull off his sock), so I went searching for where the socks had fallen off. Unfortunately, I was unable to find either sock in my fenced one-acre yard. If they were a bright color like blaze orange, maybe I would have had more luck retrieving them, but the brown/black colors are indistinguishable from the fall leaves covering the ground. So now we are down to only two socks.The other thing I will note is that the upper part of the sock is very narrow and about 4″ tall. This made it fairly difficult to get the sock onto my 75 lb dog’s foot (especially when I was trying to keep from rubbing off the cream I had just put on his paw pads). I had to use one hand to spread the top of the sock and hold it open, use the other hand to insert the tip of my dog’s paw into the opening, and work my way down like this (a fraction of an inch at a time) until I got his entire foot into the wide boot part of the sock. If you have two people to do it (one to hold open the sock with both hands and the other to control/insert the paw), it would probably be much quicker and easier.Once the sock was completely on him, it fit well; there was plenty of space for his paw, no squished toes! The narrow upper part fit snugly and the snap-on velcro garter strap allows you to further secure it (which is why I can’t figure out how the sock fell off outside…twice)! My dog didn’t mess with his boot all when I left it on overnight, so it must be comfortable. They are great quality; the rubber boot part is thick and durable and the fabric sock part is thick and tightly knit.

Good little boots but can fall off
I needed some little boots for my senior dog for when she is walking on our wood floor, or outside in the rain to keep her feet dry. These are rubberized on the bottom so although, in the rain, they do get wet on the top, the bottom of her feet are kept dry which is great. The boots do run a bit large even though I looked at the size chart, so sizing on these can be tricky, for my dog I found they fell off sometimes when running outside or when she is being rough. Not the most secure boots, but they are grippy and do look and feel nice quality. They have been holding up since my dog isnât very rough, so far so good, I am happy with them, just wish they stayed on a bit more snug. A little tricky to put on, it takes some getting used to.

Having trouble getting the bottom part on the dog properly
These seem like nice sock/shoes and they sock part is stretchy which helps get it over the dogs foot; however, the black rubbery part I am having difficulty getting it to align with my dog’s foot (bottom of foot) so that it isn’t flopping all over. I need to give it a few more tries and report back.UPDATE: 12/14/2024I can’t seem to get these on my dog. Bummer. Maybe there is a trick to it that I don’t understand

Most of the issues are probably with my dog…
So my dog hates these, BUT she seems to hate them less than another pair of sock booties I’d gotten her in the past. She doesn’t like wearing them (even though she hates her feet being wet and cold) and will try to pull them off if we’re stationary for too long, but she can and will walk in them when we’re outside and they don’t seem to impair her movement apart from the dramatics. I do wish that they stayed on better because even when she’s not messing with them, we’ve had a sock slip off a few times while walking, and they constantly get twisted around, but they’ve still worked better for us than other similar products.

Great boots!
These are perfect! The quality is amazing- nice thick rubber soles for amazing protection in ALL elements. They fit perfect, highly suggest using the size chart! They stay on without sliding off.
