It helps get to the middle of the knot/matts with the pick. The small size of the device may bother someone with big hands. The razor blade could be a little bit sharper, though. No other issues.I would buy again.

Don’t fall for this Instagram ad. The blade is dull and it doesn’t even begin to remove matted fur from my cat. Useless. Returned it and I think it’s a scam.

I’m a professional dog groomer and I’m always looking for new tools to try. Got these on a whim and I love them! They are EXTREMELY dangerous tho. Like in all seriousness if you do not know what your doing do not use this on an animal. You will slice them WIDE open, and if you do know what your doing still be careful! They work fantastic tho. Great for breaking up matting. Pretty easy to use too. Kind of weird in your hands at first, but you will quickly find your rhythm with it. Other groomers that have borrowed them really like them too. Their holding up great so far.

Dangerous
I tried using this product on my long hair cat, on a knot that had formed around his hind legs. I stopped trying after a couple of failed attempts. The blade is very sharp and my blunt tipped grooming scissors just felt a little safer to use on him. I guess if you could keep your animal completely still, these would work alright but I wouldn’t recommend using without any apparatus to keep them completely still.

These work good if you are trying to remove knots from your dog or cats fun. They are easy to hold and handle, easy to clear and the blade is sharp enough to easily cut right through fur.
