Works great!
I didn’t think it through when I bought this because I wasn’t sure how to bind it to my scratching post. But it worked out. It’s sturdy and has lasted a while compared to the original rope. I will purchase it again.

Smells like vinegar at first
I purchased this rope to redo my cats’ scratching post. It had a very strong vinegar smell that lasted a couple of days but I rubbed catnip on it and they didn’t seem to mind.

Nice sisal rope.
I use it to make HO scale trees for my train layout. Makes very realistic trees if used with static grass flocking and HO scale leaves

Works but smells gave me headaches
It definitely worked and seems like high quality rope, but spending several hours over a few days smelling this while wrapping the cat scratchings post gave me a headache. Now I canât put the post near my couch anymore because I canât stand the smell. Iâm not sure how this route was treated/coated, but I sure hope itâs pet safe because it was a lot of work to re-wrap our cat scratching post and I donât want to redo it with a different rope. The best way I can describe the smell is chemically plastic? Looks great though.

Works Well
It is much cheaper to buy this rope and redo a cat scratcher yourself than to keep buying new scratchers. It is also better for the environment to not keep throwing away old scratchers. It does take some time to do it and the rope is a little rough on your hands, but it is worth it. It does take much more length than you would expect though so be careful to order enough so that you do not run out.
