Great scratcher.
I have 7 cats and this thing has held up great. It’s been many months and nothing has broken or frayed. It’s sturdy and very well made

The box it came in
Easy to assemble and looks nice. Cute paw prints on the base ð¾ And the box it came in – a hit!

Tall and sturdy
This is a very nice cat scratcher. I’ve never tried paper rope before, and I’m pleasantly surprised so far. It holds up much better than expected, and my cats like it about the same as sisal rope. This scratcher is tall enough for my big boys, but heavy enough in the base that they haven’t pulled it over. It looks great, too! I think it’s a decent value, and wouldn’t hesitate to get another one.

Seems fine but can be damaged
The product seems great, though my cats haven’t had time to use it yet. I’m writing a review because the damage isn’t enough for me to want to send it back since it will just go to a landfill, but I want other people to be aware that they may receive a damaged product.

Easy to assemble scratching post that is solidly built with a strong wood base!
This came in a flat square box and inside the box were the two scratching posts, the wood base, the wooden topper, an Allen wrench, and the metal rod that connects the two parts of the post. There are also four square non-slip pads to attach to the bottom of the post if you are placing this on a floor versus on a carpet.Assembly was easy, as the instructions were printed directly on the side of the box that this post was shipped in. I wished the ink on the instructions was darker and easier to see but it was manageable. Assembly was easy and didnât take more than a few minutes to do so.The wooden base has a cherry wood finish that looks very nice and stylish. It matches the décor around it nicely. It also is thick enough to be stable when my cat uses it and wonât topple over very easily if the cat is using it too vigorously. The wooden topper that screws into the top of the post is made of the same wood and looks the same as the base. The topper also has the brand name Necoichi carved into it.The square base is 15 by 15 inches and the scratching post itself is 31.5 feet tall. This is good for cats who are very elastic and like to stretch to long lengths when scratching, like my cat does.My cat has always had scratching posts that are carpeted and/or have some sisal rope on them. This scratching post has âpaper ropeâ which feels solid without any give to it. It felt solid and durable under my fingers. I feel that if I was a cat, it would feel good to use my claws on it while I scratched it.My cat has been a little leery around it as it is new and unusual to him. I took away the old one to see how he would respond to this new one and I havenât seen him use it yet. If he does take a liking to it, I anticipate that this one will last a long time.Overall, I found this to be an easy-to-assemble cat scratching post made with durable materials that complement my décor nicely.

My cats use it
It was super easy to assemble. My foster cats like to use it instead of my furniture so I am happy about that.

Looks really nice, but my cat just does not like it.
I have not seen my cat use this scratching post once.He just does not seem to like the material used to wrap it.It is a really nice scratcher, taller than most others, and even my larger cat would struggle to reach the top while scratching it, if he were to choose too.Build quality is nice, good materials, sturdy large base, and it looks really premium.Just I will likely be donating mine since even trying to tempt my cat with some catnip won’t get him to interact with it.If your cat prefers the sisal rope wrapped scratchers, they may not like this one.
