Tiny. Not weatherproof. Barely big enough for one cat.
There’s no way 2 cats could fit in this unless they were very small kittens. A single large cat would have a hard time getting into or out of this. Not the shape or size pictured. It’s triangular and much smaller than pictured but well made and has a thick fuzzy bottom, and needs no assembly. This would work for a single small cat 6 months old size. Luckily I bought this for a single small stray with stunted growth from an early litter. 5 stars to be sure this review gets published. Also it’s absorbent so put something underneath it to keep it off the ground so it doesn’t get soaked, and use something like Scotch guard to waterproof the outside and let it dry minimum 24 hours. Keep it in a protected area. Also very light, would blow away in a storm.

DO NOT waste your money.
The item arrives flattened, and no matter how hard we tried to make it as round and full as what is pictured, it did not work. The piping that comes with it is flimsy and attaches on the outside. So again, it is not as sturdy as the product is made to look in the photo. It is also not particularly tall. We ordered the product that is supposed to fit two cats, and there is no way two cats can fit in their, neither because of the height or width of this item. Total disappointment and rip-off. If it were not for the fact that it snowed here last night and I needed something (anything!) for an outdoor cat, I would be returning it today.

Smaller than I expected
Itâs a cute house but the entry way is small and my cat has shown little interest. But for a small cat itâs cozy.

Pleasantly surprised! (but get a large)
I live where we have cold, snowy, blowing and sometimes rainy/icy winters. I spent over a year getting the feral cat to trust me and this fall, I bought a hard sided outdoor pet house for him in preparation for winter. He used it in a couple nasty storms, but he prefers to be on top of it in the open air, which wasn’t the best arrangement weather-wise. So, I decided to try this thing and am thrilled with how well it’s working. I bought a large because he’s big (and I already knew these products all underestimate cat size) and put it on top of the existing cat house and he’s in kitty nirvana. It sets up a bit like a tent which was slightly frustrating, however it’s worth it. The dome shape lets rain and snow run off it and it’s not sewn with any seams on top (except at the ends,) so no seeping through. The fabric is fairly heavy duty and water repellant. It’s double layered and I think there is a bit of batting between, so it’s slightly insulated as well. The floor pad is sewn in, which is unfortunate, but the large size is big enough to put a cat bed inside it, so I did that and I have a spare cat bed for a swap out if needed. It’s been out in the snow and all-day drizzle and he’s utterly happy and dry in there. I don’t know how it will do in a heavy downpour, but I think it will be fair. In the drizzle, it eventually got wet around the open end, but just swapping out the cat bed I put inside it for a dry one sufficed. I do have it elevated on styrofoam so water doesn’t soak in through the flooring.

Nothing like the photo/very small
I should have paid more attention to other reviews.I purchased this for 1 feral cat that has picked our home to be her home. I previously purchased a wooded cat house for her that is fantastic but I wanted a âsimple styleâ cat house that wonât take up much room for our porch since the wooded cat house takes up a lot of space.I thought this would make a decent cat house for her (she is pretty petite) and the description states big enough for 2 cats (medium size cat house) – NOT TRUE! This house is small. If I am questioning if 1 small cat will fit, how would 2 cats fit?Durability- Itâs NOT durable at all. Itâs NOTHING like the pictures. Itâs very flimsy and wonât keeps its shape out of the package. I have it stuffed with a small blanket in hopes of shaping it (photo uploaded is AFTER the attempt of shaping it). It barely stays up with out falling over.Waterproof- itâs possible based on the material (questionable) and I wonât be testing it since I am 99% sure I will be returning it.Size- Please dont fall for it. donât believe the number of cats that they say will fit. (Med will NOT fit multiple cats unless we are talking about kittens). It reminds me of my kids sleeping bag after you put it in the carry bag that it would come with.If this is all someone can financially afford and are trying to take care of a feral- itâs better than nothing of course. Just donât expect anything great. Trust the reviews that mention itâs nothing as pictured and sizing is not close to being accurate.I included photos (after stuffing it to reshape) and the other cat house that I purchased from Amazon (I think I paid like 115.00 for the wooden cat house that is pretty nice in my opinion). BTW- she LOVES the wooden cat house. I am trying to provide her a decent living since itâs very clear she was dumped by someone and has a pretty rough life on the streets). I would bring her inside but my cat and her donât seem to be soulmates.

Don’t hold shape, cats sleep on top of them
I got these for my parents house, as they wanted to provide shelter for neighborhood stray cats during the worst of the winter weather. Perhaps part of the problem is that the cats simply weren’t used to using beds/ shelters like these. But these shelters are too soft to hold their shape, and too lightweight. Even on the back porch, they’ll blow around a little in the wind. And they’re so soft they collapse quickly; I wouldn’t want to sleep in a collapsing house either. Mostly the cats have been sleeping on top of them instead, and if that’s what we were going for we could have purchased cozy plush beds.

Outside cat shelter
This seems nice enough, but will require an extra covering to keep out strong winds, any rain or snow. It is described as water resistant/proof, but is too small to test. The insulation seems okay and build quality will be tested over time.
