I’m realistic – Great for Labrador Retrievers!
I’m realistic in that my dogs toys don’t last. They never have. Now we have her and her ADD puppy with us so the toys have to stand up to two heavy lab chewers. We had tried a wide variety of toys that fell apart the day you bought them or within the first week. We thought we had found the answer with Nylabone chews and discovered that the labs in particular chew so hard, those things break teeth. My lab & my sister’s guide dog lab both broke teeth on Nylabone so no more of those in my house. Then I found the Kyjen fire hose. Now, it is unrealistic if you have a chewer to expect any toy to last a long time. It’s like thinking one package of diapers is all you’ll ever need. Or one set of Lego’s. No. Dogs are destructive little four legged critters. So if you have a big chewer, be happy if you find a toy that lasts long enough to pay for itself. The fire hose does that in our house. Her first one lasted her about six months and then she had a litter of pups. When they were about 6 weeks old, they started loving mom’s fire hose. So it fell apart a few weeks later. I bought another one and another toy for our puppy we were keeping. It lasted about six months again and finally we watched them gleefully shred it around the living room one night. So it was time for another one. I love these things. Six months is a long time for two Labrador retrievers to enjoy a toy. I’ve also started testing new toys and buying something new with each fire hose. So far the fire hose is superior to the other toys we’ve tried. – Squirrels with a tree house though the puppy loved this one, the squirrels were done within a month.- Waterbottle plushie – again puppy loves plush so this was a favorite but it barely lasted a month and a half. This time we’re testing the Kyjen egg plush with the fire hose. We’ll see which one outlasts the other. In the end though, for the price of the fire hose especially on the dog toy market I’m extremely happy with the time it lasts. Our dogs love it and we haven’t broken teeth on one yet! Even puppies chewed it without any mishap. So I highly recommend this toy, but I think you have to understand it isn’t going to last forever. No toy will if your dog is rough.

    Really Really good toy
I currently own a 1 year old Siberian husky with razor sharp teeth and determination to destroy everything and anything. In order to help her with her boredom I bought her many toys. At first I bought her certain kong toys, thinking it would last a couple of days, maybe weeks. HOWEVER, little did I know, it took her 4 minutes to rip up everything. I was so shocked, but I was determined to find a toy that would last more than a day. So then I decided to begin my journey to find a quality toy. I looked through articles, thousands of reviews, and asked hundreds of people. So then, I found (what I thought) that would last more than 1 day. I decided to drop 60 bucks on a certain kong toys (the ones with rope inside) and a well known brand known as tuffy (20 dollar toy!). The minute the package arrived, I was so relieved. Therefore, I opened the toys to give to my dog. The kong lasted 50 seconds and the tuffy 4 minutes. I was astonished that I couldn’t find a toy (with a squeaker inside) that would last long. With my dog in agony, I soon resorted to my plan C. The plan was just to buy random toys (hahaha). I bought a kong fire hose and this product. Once the item arrived, I gave the kong to my dog. Lasted 10 minutes. I believed that I found the worlds first indestructible toy; however, what happened next didn’t seem like a reality. After a couple of days, I gave my dog this product. WOW. IT LASTED ALL DAY. On some serious note (for those wanting to buy), this toy will not last all year if u have a large dog like me (so don’t expect it to). My dog can shred anything; however, it takes 3 days to get into the center (it will not take 3 days for your dog unless yours is like mine). Now this is the only toy I buy (I have bought over 10 and will continue to do so because of the durability). And finally, I can not stress this enough, No toy is indestructible, so don’t expect it to.Pros-Really durable (compared with other toys using my dog to test the durability)A squeaker toy2 VERY strong layersWORTH THE PRICECons-the color (just kiding)Only 1 squeaker

Ripped to Shreds but Saving my hands
We were recommended by our trainer to redirect our very mouthy young Shepherd to a toy instead of our hands. It’s not very durable when chewed but our dog prefers to carry this around & play tug of war over other toys. We went through (3) in a week but it’s saving my hands from being cut up so hence the three stars. We did have another one years ago that was much stronger & heavier but until I find something more durable I’ll buy this toy knowing it’s only temporary. It’s cheaper than an ER visit.

    My doggo’s #1
My dog ADORES this toy. It’s so cheap—I bought three more so she has outdoor and indoor ones.It stands up surprisingly well, though any toy would be unable to hold up if a dog is determined to destroy it. My dog likes to meticulously tear apart any soft/semi-soft toy, but this one she just trots around the house with it and chews on it. The corners get a bit worn but the material has held up amazingly well. The squeakers are very subtle (perfect for my dog that doesn’t like squeaky toys), and the material is strong while still being flexible. Her first one was purchased on a whim and we didn’t supervise her very closely so it’s a little more weathered, but it’s still going and all the others are holding strong. It’s one of the few toys we feel comfortable leaving with her when she’s crated. To reiterate—ANY toy will be torn apart if you dog is determined to do so. If your dog is prone to that, I would suggest this toy be played with under supervision, but it’s very strong and isn’t easily ripped, so no accidents there. I 100,000x recommend getting a few of them. The price point can’t be beat and the enjoyment factor is through the roof.Only con (not really) is it’s hard to give a simple name to, so learning the name of her favorite toy has proven a challenge!
