after 5 months of him meowing sharply all night if we slept when he was awake, tried ignoring for 3 weeks, then tried everything else suggested online. this was our last resort. it worked! he associated the zap on the default low setting) with the NO command by the 3rd time. Then when I took it off, I just had to say no and he listened. I’m sure he will need reminders, but I am hoping not. for cats, you need to cut down the collar length. and I heard the neck device clanking on his food dish when he ate. But per the instructions, it only stays on for short periods. you may need reading glasses or a magnifying glass to read the print on the controller. I used a sharpie marker & wrote L for lock & U for unlock and then V for vibrate & T for tone on the controller. wish the print was larger there, but the pointed sharpie worked well.

What we like the most is both the receiver and remote are small and the collar is easy to put on/take off. I also like that the transducer has a lock feature so we don’t accidentally trigger it. The strap is nice. I often use a lanyard around my neck with it. I wish the receiver was removable from the collar for cleaning. The collar seems to dry quickly when wetted. If we were to do it over again we would not buy the white one. The white nylon collar looks stained and dirty even after cleaning. We use it on a 75# Golden Retriever with the collar extended out 19”.

AMAZING Training Collar!
My partner and I got our first younger pup together. He’s almost 2 years and a VERY smart dog, so smart he feels he doesn’t always have to listen to verbal commands (lol).We were mainly struggling on working with his constant barking/chasing our cat whenever she went in/out of any room we were in (never aggressive, but it was excessive & she does not like it!). We were recommended a training collar and I stumbled upon this specific model of Patpet collars. It seemed to have the best reviews so we ordered as soon as we could!This training collar is AMAZING! Not only has the barking subsided to almost none, he now (for the most part) leaves the cat alone! We’ve had the collar for a little over a week and can already see huge progress!The whole time, we’ve kept the prongs off and have only used the vibration/tone on the remote. The instructions were very clear and everything is visibly packaged. The size customization on this collar is great too, fit our 40lb mix with a good amount of slack to spare (which we just tucked into the adjuster so it wouldn’t flap/bother him). I love how I can customize the level of vibration and am so happy with the lock feature. I am able to keep the remote on me when we work with the collar on and not worry about accidentally setting it off. I couldn’t be happier with the results, as I also feel he is responding to verbal commands a lot more consistently than before. HIGHLY recommend this collar & brand!

Works on cat
We have a mix breed cat, looks like a Russian blue. So very vocal, especially at 2/3 am. Bought this to try, after trying cat melatonin’s treats, drops, calming cat nighttime plug in, feeding and playing until he was panting tired before bed, nothing helped. The collar is adjustable, so it fit him, just cut off excess. Was able to test each setting against skin, and they are all very mild. Obviously putting a collar on a cat is a struggle in itself, definitely didn’t like at first, but found distracting him with having him chase the laser while having it on & playing with him while it’s on got him used to it. Also after the first few nights he figured it out really fast. I would do the vibrate option as 2 warnings, if he kept meowing, then gave a light shock. The sound didn’t do much for my cat. It only took a few times before he figured out when we put the collar on it’s quiet time. And now we don’t put it on him, he stays quiet through the night, on periodically meowing if my husband moves in his sleep, and if he does meow we put the collar on him & he figured it out pretty fast with out having to use it. Worked effectively, very thankful for the results & sleep! Only negative I have is the blinking light on the collar when turned on. It’s bright in a dark room, understand wasn’t really designed specifically for what we used it for. And was an easy fix putting a few layers of thick duct tape over the light.
