So-so. Stiff boots so my dog slides them right off in one step. Woundn’t stay in with rubber bands. have to return.
My 15 lb cockapoo refuses to wear these boots. Somehow, she also walks right out of them even if I cinch the Velcro tight. They are very stiff. I think my dog does not like how stiff they are and that contributes to them coming right off. If your dog is in anyway hesitant to wear boots, avoid these dog boots. I am returning them, even though I paid extra shipping to get then here in 24 hours. I think if the boots were not so stiff, the problems would be resolved. If your dog is amenable to wearing boots, these seem okay for the price. The tops have breathable mesh, whish is nice. The bottoms are kind of stiff plastic, but it does appear to be non-skid. I wish I could offer advise on size, but I just cant tell. I got size small after posting question. Paw 2 inches wide. Paw is longer than 2 inches in length. I keep looking at the boots and think they look like the correct size. But the stiffness makes them slide off like a shoe horn.ADD: Seller suggested I try using hair ties to hold the boots on. I had none so I tried rubber bands and masking tape. Nothing worked. The bottoms are stiff and slick and the dog slides them right off no matter how tightly I cinch the Velcro. They won’t stay on me cockapoo’s feet for 30 seconds. These are not dogs boots. Have to return. Disappointed I paid extra for overnight shipping.

Probably best for large paws with square foot pad
This is a sizing/design issue. I bought these for my lab whose feet have a large paw surface area, but the paws are not large in height or volume. Plus, her paws measure to be oval, longer in length than width. An additional complication is that her back feet are smaller than her front feet. So I bought two sizes, large and extra-large based on the length. While the product seems well made and I liked the fastener, the boot itself was very large and not very snug fitting after following the recommended sizing chart for either size. They did end up much too wide. The boots would swivel around if she was active and end up walking on the sides or tops. Maybe a medium would have worked, but then I am concerned about the length not working out. Her back feet were 2″ wide x 3.25″ long and her fronts were 2.5″ wide x 3.5″ long.

Doesn’t want to stay straight. My dog had a cyst taken care of at the vet and I tried these instead of a cone to get her to stop licking. She stopped licking, but ended up with sores due to it rubbing wrong. We ultimately ended up worse off and needed the cone anyway. Disappointed ☹️

So far, so good! My shih-tzu / chihuahua just had his first trial wear of these boots and they stayed on for his entire walk. He sounded like a horse galloping down the sidewalk, but the fit and flexibility seemed great. I’m so happy to have found a pair of breathable booties that are appropriate for seasons outside of winter – as dogs sweat through their paws and would be incredibly uncomfortable in waterproof wear. The city streets and sidewalks are so horrendously filthy – covered in urine, saliva, faeces, construction debris, glass — you name it. You couldn’t pay me to walk barefoot in the city and my dog shouldn’t either. He is constantly getting rashes in between his paws and dried out/ worn paw pads. After wearing the rubber PAWZ (size small) balloons all winter, his feet are now extremely sensitive and require year-round protection. Especially considering how hot the pavement is in the summer days, I needed a solution. So far, I’m very pleased with these boots in size small. The first pair I ordered were too big – size medium – and my dog’s paws measured just under 2.5 inches in length. I had to return these, as they were too big and also had some threads coming out, which made me question the quality. That said, the size small I ordered in replacement were both a better fit and better quality – no loose threads. Although he was able to walk in them without a problem, I am ordering an extra small for his back paws only, as I think they will be less awkward and give my fur-baby more control with his footing.

UPDATE: I still like these boots; however, if your dog is running like at a dog park and/or in snow higher than the top of the boot, the snow gets in from the top and helps bring down the boot until it finally flies off. I’ve had different types of doggie boots, expensive ones and cheap ones like these. Unless you are doing straight sidewalk walking, any doggie boot is hard to stay on especially if you have dogs that play fetch and run alot in the snow. So if you only need these for below temperatures to keep your dogs paw pads from getting frostbite etc then I would still recommend these. It seems the back paw boots stay on most of the time, it’s the front paw boots that seem to fly off eventually. Maybe it’s how the dog runs putting more onus on front paws while running. Anyways, for the price, especially when most doggie boots price range is typically of $60 – $100 (or more) . These do the job in -35 temperatures as these type of winter temperatures are usually only a few days to a week at most.I have 3 large rescues and needed dog boots for winter. Our winters are often 4ft of snow and can go to -40 temperatures. I measured their paws and paw width was 3″ and the length for 2 of them was about 4″ so I ordered 2 extra large and a large. I think the large would have sufficed. The extra large still work just giving a “spacious” area for the pad of the paw. The design of the boot is very good. And even though these soft paw boots may not be “fleeced” for winter it does exactly what I want and need. That my dog’s paws don’t touch the surface of the cold pavement, snow and ice especially when it’s -20 or more. I like that they don’t have those structured heavy rubber base like other dog boots allowed more flexibility and ease for my dog to comfortable walk and wear. Dog boots can be very expensive. Now I haven’t been able to test the durability; however, they look pretty solid to me and I can see getting alot of wear out of them. it’s a little snug at the ankle part of the boot so if your dog is moving around alot, it will make it harder to get them on. I understand why the fabric top part is slightly narrower so they help stay up and on. And then you have the velcro to secure the bottom part of the boot. I think these boots are a great buy for what I needed and the price. Just make sure of the sizing. The extra large is more for a great dane size. Most large dogs I think will fit into the large size. Excellent buy, highly recommended.

I measured my dog paws then ordered the small size but I got the xlarge i could put all her paws in it ! It had the small label but it was too big after I measured it and check with the sizes on websize realized its for xlarge ! I wanted to order the small size but i have to wait for my money back…. It was very disappointing! Because they looked good but i have to wait again .
