Our top choice of dog boots
We have been using these boots on our Maltese since she was 4 months old. She is now 15 years old. They stay on well, and protect her feet from salt, impacted snow in winter and puddles during rainy times. Most importantly, these boots donât contort her feet & ankles into unnatural positions that would be painful or cause her to walk with a âFrankensteinâ gait. She can walk normally & easily and can feel the ground underneath her paws, yet be protected. It is a bit tricky to stretch the opening with your fingers while inserting their paws inside, but once you get the hang of it, it isnât that hard. It is helpful that I have a small dog that is willing to sit upright on my lap like a human. You can measure your dogâs paw on the back of the package with breed suggestions on the back help select the correct size. I must mention that my Maltese is a size X-Small not XX-Small as suggested so measuring is important. Each package contains 12 boots, enough for 3 sets. Even though they say they are disposable, we get a minimum of a month or more of daily wearings. Ordering from Amazon is actually ordering directly from the company. Price here is more reasonable compared to buying from the retail pet store. Shipping is free & fast.

Too tight
I bought the appropriate size for my dogs, but they were extremely difficult to put on due to the material. My dogs hated them and they were difficult to remove. Imagine putting a balloon on their feet. Caused moisture to enter which did cause an infection. Ã did read the directions, but either it was me or the product, but I won’t reorder

Measure pawâs circumference
On the pictures there are sizes M, L, Xl.My recent experience with rubber dog boots has offered valuable lessons in sizing, especially regarding the different needs of front and rear paws. While selecting various sizes â Medium, Large, and Extra-Large â in black, I discovered the importance of measuring not just for foot length and width, but also the paw’s circumference where the boot grips.Contrary to my initial assumption, I found the Large size to be the ideal choice for front paws. This size comfortably covers the dewclaw without squeezing it and allows for stretching the boot even higher than the carpal pad, enhancing its hold. However, stretching the boot to its limit runs the risk of tearing, a factor Iâm keeping an eye on as I continue experimenting. Itâs good to have options here. However, for the rear paws, the Medium size proved more suitable, and I’m even considering trying the Small size in the future. Because thereâs no reason to pull it higher, and there is no ledge for boots to hold. This experience highlights a crucial point: different sizes may be needed for a dog’s front and rear paws. Larger sizes offer more than just length; they provide increased volume and a larger elastic opening for a secure fit. Choosing the right size for each paw is essential for the boots to stay on without slipping off or causing discomfort. As I continue to experiment with these sizes, I am learning more about the ideal fit for my dog’s unique needs, ensuring their comfort and mobility with each step.

Happy dog
I have bought these same brand a few times they do ok indoors. Depending on what your walking on out side you might get two to three walks. But I have experienced several times if they run they tear through the rubber and that is with trimmed nails.

Ideal boots-they really stay on!
After many other purchases of dog boots with elastics, velcro etc-few stayed intact on my lab retriever pas. We would often return home with only 1 or2 still on and would find them days later in the snow along whatever street we took if Lucky. These are the only boots that remained on each and every time. Money well sent! It does take a little more than a minute to put them on but, once we are outside her face of gratitude with no salt burns or discomort such as limping when her pads are affected by the salut speaks volumes. I am so happy for we can go further and deeper into snow trails, hikes etc and know she is well taken care of. Black goes well with all of her winter coats, parkas and sweaters-they in many colors-she just always order the Black.

Perfect dog boots for bad weather
My Shih Tzu actually likes wearing the balloon boots. Bought the wrong size last year and consequently lost several pairs because they were too big. This year they offered black x small. Fit perfectly and look cute. He is 13 lbs and tiny. Best yet!

Different sizes and materials depending on the color?
I do like these booties for my dogâs tiny feet. My gripe is that the material seems different depending on which color you get. The orange ones seem to fit better and are more durable than the black ones.

Not a good product
My dog got edema in his legs from this. I bought these for help with his grip on hardwood.
