Best $11 dollars ever spent!!
I cant say enough about this comb… Kudos to whoever came up with this product! Hands down this is absolutely AMAZING, if you read the instructions, and the comb is used properly it works as describes. I love the fact that when purchased they donate part of profits to help other fur-babies in need! This product saved me hundreds of dollars at the vet ! BUT Most important my fur-baby is happy again and her fur is back to normal and is no longer in pain from the mats!! Highly recommend to anyone in this tangled up situation to buy this product!! Its absolutely PUR-FECT!

Works great
I have so many combs and brushes for my cats but really needed a good one for the undercoat. This gets hair out of cats that I thought were already in good shape. Two pieces of advice are 1)if you use short strokes itâs easier and more enjoyable for the cat. Long strokes tend to snag and pull the hair and 2) have a wet paper towel close by cuz that fine little hair will be flying everywhere and youâll need something to wipe the hair off your face, your hands, and your nose. I have another wet paper towel where I pile the hair that I take out of the toolâ¦..it keeps it corralled until I get to the wastebasket. I am very satisfied with this toolâ¦..I ordered an extra one.

I inherited some cats and they had quite a few mats that I have been working on getting out. I was really excited to use this because I have tried a lot of different tools. This one works okay for the most part. I was slightly disappointed because I had them snag a couple times and get stuck and obviously thatâs not ideal. I have used it on my dog and it works okay for him. If you have an animal with long textured hair thatâs really matted or tangled I would maybe look at other options. I think the product itself was good. I also am not a professional and I was under the impression it had blades that would kind of cut the mats out as you brush without irritating the skin. I may have misunderstood how the product actually worked so my expectations were higher than they probably should have been. Iâm rating 4 stars because itâs a good brush but itâs not for what I was doing with it.

Surprisingly effective on all hair lengths
I was flabbergasted. Yes. That surprised. My medium-haired cat was always prone to matting and I couldnât seem to prevent it with a regular brush or one of the ones with spiky tines. He wouldnât tolerate that for more than a few moments, either.I bought this, and didnât use it for about a month, then I tried it. I couldnât believe how it cut through and GEnTLy brushed out small mats. It took out only the thick undercoat and left him feeling like a Chinchilla! Thatâs a high mark.And he loooves it. He will stop eating to get brushed if I bring it out. And heâll roll on the floor and let you get all sides and areas. Low belly, neck, rear pantaloons, all the areas my cat typically shied away from with a regular brush. It is amazing. I can get every mat, and all it really takes is one or two passes with the comb.And! I just tried it yesterday on my short haired cat. He was looking jealous, so I swiped it over him a few times. He loved it and it took out about two daysâ worth of shedding in a minute.Next stop⦠the dog. The cats are gonna be pissed.

Literally so so good at getting lose hair & undercoat of my cat who sheds! I will say it wasnât the best with getting mats out, but it is really good for maintenance! My cat tolerated this better than using a regular brush

I purchased this product after reading numerous reviews on it and similar products. It is well designed and constructed, and I have no doubt it I would be getting better results with it if I were using it on dogs and not cats. I had hoped I could use it successfully on one of my long hair cats to groom his tail, and on two cats with medium length coats that are very thick. After trying repeatedly the “picking” and “lifting” hair technique as well as other approaches, I concluded I can only occasionally use it on my long hair cats tail to thin the hair because it pulls out too much hair and hurts him. After using it once on the hip areas of my medium coated calico, she began running from it when she saw it out. Even though I had gently separated her fur and had removed any small mats, the tool clumped up with her fur and then pulled it. It does however seem to work best on my third cat who has a thick short coat. She did not have any mats but needed her thick undercoat thinned, which it did. She has the least sensitive skin of the three and did not seem to mind the sensation of the metal tool going through her fur. I plan to keep it and use it once a week on her as well as the regular brush I groom her with.I have had large dogs in the past and can invision how this tool would work well with dogs with thicker less sensitive skin than cats or very small dogs with more delicate skin.

This brush is GREAT!!!
This dematting tool has been a miracle for my 17-year old cat who can no longer properly keep herself groomed. She had gotten really big mats that I tried to cut out without success. I was afraid that I would hurt her so I took her to my local vet who used one of these brushes. I could not believe the difference when she brought my cat back out to me! It was like day and night, she actually looked like herself again! I use this brush on her several times each week while she is preoccupied with eating and she does not mind it at all. It doesn’t seem to pull on her fur like other brushed that I have tried in the past. I was so impressed with this brush that I bought a larger just like it for my German Shepherd/Husky mix dog. It works as well, if not better, than the Furminator brush and he likes me brushing him with this one better. If you have a dog or cat with a matting problem or just a thick undercoat, I would definitely give this brush a try.

So I snuck the new de-matting rake into the bedroom last night and set it where I could reach it. When Taco came for his evening scritches I brought it out and held him so I could try out the rake and see if I could get some of his tangles out.Taco hates the brush. And the nail clippers. When I brush him I get the cold shoulder for days as well as a couple of good scratches. He hides in the closet. But this time was a little different!It seems like the inside edges of this one are super sharp and they slice right through the mats with very little resistance. The part of the outer curve that touches the skin is rounded and blunt. The first strokes I got in pulled a lot of material out of his chest fur (which has a lot of matted undercoat) and he was not happy — he escaped my clutches and jumped off the bed to hide in the closet.But, unexpectedly, he returned after a few minutes! Then he let me brush his flanks and the backs of his rear legs, slowly retreating towards the end of the bed after each little session, but not quite leaving altogether. We alternated scritches and brushes for a while. Then he fled and I went to sleep.At 6am he was sleeping on my head: apparently the cold nose trick didn’t wake me up. So I got the mats and didn’t lose a friend. Five stars, good product, would recommend.
