    Pet Restricted Area Spray
Wonderful I have used a spray and dog sniffing and then go away from it very easy to use and the smell is not bad at all. I think this was a great value for the money. I definitely intend to buy more.

    Keeps pets away
Keeps my dog away from areas where peeing is prohibited. Smell is not pleasant to dogs, but pleasant to humans.

    If only it worked…
I love the idea of this stuff, but from the reviews I knew that it only worked for some people. I knew I was taking a gamble here. Sadly this product had absolutely no impact on my dogs. I am caregiving my daughter’s two dogs and have two of my own. Three of the four come from puppy mills, where they lived in cages for years, eating, sleeping and doing their business in one spot. Not easy to house train – one in particular. If she forgets, the other two tend to regress. My floors are wood. I always clean thoroughly – soapy water followed by regular water followed by enzyme cleaner. After cleaning, I sprayed this product generously. The smell is mild, citrusy and pleasant, but the product has made absolutely no difference to my dogs. Too bad I got two bottles because of the price point.

    Seems to be working
I ordered this forbidden area spray because my female cat has been spraying near my christmas tree and I’m trying everything and anything to stop her. I’ve tried urine odor eliminator, vinegar, essential oils, packets of herbs and more and nothing has worked. I sprayed this product behind the tree and she hasn’t done it since (which has been about 5 days). With that being said, the instructions are very unclear and hard to understand, which is the reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be spraying it on the “forbidden area” or if I’m supposed to be spraying her when she goes in the forbidden area. Dousing the area seems to be working so that’s how I’m going to keep using the product. I really like the scent, it smells like strawberries not chemicals so I don’t mind liberally applying it on my walls and carpet. The ingredients are non toxic so if I you were to spray your pet with it it would be safe to do so. I like the product so far I just wish the instructions were clearer.

    Hmmm
Sort of works. Must reapply a few times everyday. Personally I’d like something stronger.

    This works, BUT…
I have a geriatric cat who refuses to use the Litterbox. She will, however, use “potty pads” I lay out for her. And, to amuse me, she will also poop on the carpet alongside doors and walls. Yea.After I used this spray, she no longer does her business there!!! That is, she no longer poops where I used the spray. Now I find her “business” in OTHER places.Still, the spray works!

Jury is still out on this cat spray
The actual product box and bottle does not say whether this product might stain surfaces, but in the product writeup online it says it is non staining and non stinging.I sprayed 4 good sprays of the product on one side of a doubled paper towel and held it in front of one of my cat’s faces. He is a curious cat by nature, and he was curious about this sprayed paper towel. He gave it a good smell and seemed quite interested in it until I withdrew the paper towel. I was expecting him to pull his head away, but he didn’t seem to mind the spray at all.I ordered this spray for a particular problem. I have 4 fully trained housecats. They always use a doggie door to the back yard to do their business, so I’ve never needed a litter box in the house. Unfortunately, a couple of semi-feral cats who sometimes hang out in the back yard noticed that my tame cats were using the doggie door, so these 2 interlopers have started coming into my house when I’m out or asleep. (When I wake up and go into the living room or kitchen, they bolt like lightning out through the doggie door into the back yard.) While they are in the house they raid the indoor cats’ food dish and sometimes pee on pee pads I’ve laid down in a corner of the dining room, where they like to pee once or twice a week. (These outdoor cats have their own food/water always available in my garage, where I host about a dozen semi-tame and feral cats with beds, food, water, heat in winter, etc. There’s no good reason for them to come into my house at night. They just seem to like to make furtive visits to my house when I’m not awake.)I got this spray because I have 3 large houseplants grouped together in big pots in my living room. Occasionally I will find some of the potting soil displaced onto the living room carpet. I am guessing it’s the unwelcome overnight guests who might be digging up some of this soil, as one of those 2 cats is young, about 6 months old, and this seems like the kind of mischief a younger cat would do.Anyway, I put that saturated paper towel (with the PETS FORBIDDEN AREA SPRAY on it) around the base of these big pots and will see if it deters the cats from digging up soil in the future.I will note that the spray doesn’t really smell bad to me. It has almost a subtle perfume smell, even a lightly pleasant smell, to my nose.I will also say that the list of ingredients includes these 2 things that I don’t understand: “kazong CO-400” and “PHMB.” Never heard of these things. An online search reveals nothing about “kazong CO-400” but it does say “PHMB” is an antimicrobial preservative.Anyway, it’s odd that one of my housecats didn’t seem to mind at all the paper towel I sprayed with this product.I will keep applying this around the base of my potted plants and see if the nighttime burglar cats leave my potted plants alone from now on. If they still continue to dig up the potting soil, I will update this review.
