    Amazing enrichment for the dog
This treat/food dispenser is a great option for high energy dogs. I usually use it in the winter when we can’t play outside as much. It only took a day or two to train my heeler mix how to use it. My dog slams the button hard but it has held up so far! The batteries have lasted well and the button has good noise and connectivity. My only complaint is that the options to hold down the button (suction cup and stake) don’t really work if you have an overly enthusiastic dog.

Best purchase for a high energy dog!
We have a lab and I’m so glad I purchased this! Our lab is three years old and we were expecting our first child so I wanted to get something that would help him release energy on days where we might be too busy to exercise him. Training him to use the button was easy, we got it on the first attempt. Now we put the button on one end of the house and the dispenser at the other and he runs back and forth, entertained and exercised! We put his dinner serving of his dry dog food in the dispenser and make the hole small enough that it dispenses about 4-5 pieces at a time, keeping him quite busy. We even set up a little bit of an obstacle course so he has to do some jumping. This is one of the best pet toys/accessories I’ve ever purchased!

    Love it! But…
My dog begs to play with this once she figured out how to use it. It is easy to set up and use. The biggest problem that we have run into is the button and the main device do not always work. They also can not be put more than like 15 ft apart or else it won’t depende any treats/kibble. Haven’t had to change the batteries In the button since ordering it however the main unit we decided to use the plug vs batteries. Our dog likes to pull the button out of the silicone cone that they provided and bite it to make the treats dispense faster. However the button is still in really good shape for that happening.

    Treat Dispenser for dogs.
This is great for encouraging a dog to problem solve. It gives them a little exercise to get treats. It makes their meals last longer if they are fast eaters.

    Great IF it works
UPDATE: since it was working as pleased I didn’t use it for a while. I was frustrated now it doesn’t even wants to shut on. Switched batteries, tried electric plug in but the machine won’t go on!I was initially excited to acquire the PetGeek as a professional dog trainer. I intended to use it for enrichment purposes for my clients’ dogs as well as my own, serving as training rewards that don’t solely come from me. However, I encountered several issues with the device. Firstly, it often malfunctions, either dispensing no treats or too many at once, which can discourage the dog from continuing to engage with it. Additionally, the absence of a remote control poses a challenge, especially when shaping specific behaviors. Without the option to manually trigger treat release, it’s difficult to teach the dog to interact with the machine. Furthermore, the inability to disable the tone can be problematic for noise-sensitive dogs or when the desired behavior hasn’t been established yet. Overall, while the concept is promising, the PetGeek falls short due to these issues frustrating the learner, in my opinion.

    Yesssss!!! Get it!!
My Rosie is a blue heeler/mini Aussie mix (we dna tested her). She’s spoiled so of course she had to have this! Now this is how she eats her food. I only fill it with her dog food. She loves it. She’s very active so this keeps her busy. And if it’s empty she will all but jump on the button then come look at me. Was easy to set up. I taught her by keeping on pushing the button base towards her til any part touched the button. Then yelled Yes which is our cue word when she gets something right. I had already taught her in a similar fashion to push a door bell to ask to go outside to potty. I gotta say the batteries in the base button has held up well. 2 months of using it most of the day, daily. I did take it with us one day so I plugged the dispenser into a battery pack and that worked just fine too. It plugs into usb. Easy.

This worked a few times but has now stopped working. The button to activate the system gets very hot when on, and also the battery cover just comes off exposing loose batteries to your pet. I can’t believe this item is allowed to be sold and now the seller has gone awol with no chance of return. Avoid!!!!!
