Ammoâs favorite toy of all time! If your pup is a fetch-a-holic like Ammo, this is worth the weight in gold. It took Ammo bringing us the ball twice and us dropping it in for her to figure it out and do it herself.This thing works even with slobbery slippery soaked dripping tennis balls. It doesnât shoot far, but itâs enough entertainment to keep her busy until we make her stop.The only negative so far is that the throwing action jolts the machine so it will rotate 180 degrees over a span of 15-20 minutes. And upgrade postage could make would be a way to add water/sand filled bags to weigh it down so it doesnât rotate.Itâs a bit noisy with a thud when it launches, so if you have a skittish dog it might not be for them.

Stopped working after a week. I have other petsafe products and they too don’t work. I will never buy from this company again. It’s just cheap stuff that is poorly made. Also, they have never responded to any of my emails for help. It’s a bad company.

Very loud so not for timid dogs
Oh, how I wanted to love this product. It does seem sturdy and tosses the small tennis balls a fair distance. It has a large hopper so easy for the dogs to drop the balls back into the hopper. Unfortunately, it makes a loud bang when the balls are released. This was enough to keep my ball-obsessed, but very timid, mini-Aussie from getting anywhere close to it. It even scared my confident, easy-going lab so it had to be returned. Nice and easy return, so that was a positive! I spent over 3 weeks trying to get the dogs to use the ball launcher before I gave up. I started slowly by putting treats into the hopper and keeping it turned off. Then I had them bring the balls to the hopper. All going well until I turned it on. The first time it launched, and the big bang sounded, was when they were out of the room. Not good. I think it is a good product. I used the training tips the company provided, but it just wasn’t happening for my noise-averse dogs. I am jealous of all the other whose dogs love this as I know my dogs would have loved it as well if they could have gotten past the loud bangs.

Game changer! My pug who is very active and loves balls never leaves us alone and always wants to play! Even when I am working she is dropping the ball at my feet. I used this for about 45 min last night and then today for about 20 min during my lunch break. She has been well behaved and quiet all afternoon!! I will play with her again tonight before bed.It is a very powerful device so I would never leave her alone with it. She is starting to attempt to drop the ball into it by herself without me even showing her how. It was kind of pricy but for me well worth it as long as it lasts!! Highly recommend!!

Es plástico como las tapas de retrete de baño, tiene mecanismo de gatillo para lanzar la pelota y todo el mecanismo está sobre el plástico, cada que dispara la pelota suena como si asotaras la tapa del retrete y es molestisimo, mi pastor aleman la ve y de plano se niega a jugar, y ese plástico duro como nuevo 2 segundos mi perrita puso para sobre el aparato y se rayó como mantequilla y ni cómo regresarlo, levantare un reporte para solicitar que se quite de Amazon y cambiaré el cascarón a uno hecho con madera creo que asà será más silencioso

You definitely need to teach your dog how to play with this machine. At first my dog was really scared of this new toy. By scared, I mean heâs literally walking 1 metre away from this machine and he would avoid looking at it. I first tried to refresh the trick of putting the toy into a box with him( I taught him last week), then I hold him near the machine for a bit, then I manually put the ball inside the machine just to let him getting used to the sound of the machine when itâs launching a ball and also letting him know that this machine can launch a ball. Then, after he got excited and knows what this machine can actually do, I hold the ball on top of the machine and ask him to push the ball. In the end I just encourage him to grabbed the ball and put it inside the machine. It takes time to train but you gotta be patient with that!! In terms of the motion sensor.. I donât quite get how it works, I tilted the angle to the highest degree to avoid it throwing into my dog and also cuz whippet has very long and tiny head.. heâs very attempted to put his head into the machine to check.. this sometimes triggers the machine and scares me a lot .. Overall I would say if your dog wants you to throw the ball 200 times a day , give this a try lol

We purchased this for our dog who can’t stop playing ball. It was pricey but we were thought we’d give this a go to save our energy! Unfortunately it does not have good range at all. It only shoots the ball about 5 – 10 ft. It’s very loud and scares our dog. He is really good with returning the ball to us and is trained to drop it in baskets, but he is too scared to go near the ball thrower. I wouldn’t recommend this at all. It is over priced and is a waste.
