LOVE IT!!! My Aussies have not destroyed It!!
This chew toy was recommended to me at Cabelas when I had asked an associate for a chew toy for Extremely Tough Chewers!! He explained to me that by adding the treat it diverts their attention from trying to destroy the toy to focusing on trying to get the treat plus literally brushes their teeth. BRILLIANT!! I have two Australian Shepherds and a Shih Tzu mix (game changer for his teeth) and bought three of these! THIS IS THE BEST INVENTION EVER!! It keeps my two Aussies busy for at least a couple of hours, SO AWESOME!!FINALLY!!! A toy that lasts!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!!!!!

Boxer Approved!
One of my boxer girls (the fawn one in the video, 6 yrs old) hardly ever chews on things, my other boxer girl (the sealed brindle, 11 mos old) chews constantly and we’re buying new nylabone chew toys 1-2 times a month for her. I wanted something to encourage my older girl to chew more for dental health and serotonin secretion, I know the benefits of chewing far outweigh the risks for dogs so I’ve been trying all kinds of things but hooves, ears and real bones get stinky and the girls stop caring for them after a few chew sessions, and my fawn baby only sometimes has interest in chew toys of any kind. When I found this with the different textures, materials (hard plastic, nylon bristles, rubber type discs, & jerky treat) I jumped for one, and it’s a HUGE HIT!She loves it, my 11 mo old loves it, and I definitely need backups because they’re going to love this one to death in a couple weeks- I’m so happy about that!!Between this and the new snuffle mat we bought at the same time, which both my girls go crazy for, I’ve finally found enrichment toys that boost my girls health both mentally and physically and they can BOTH get so much joy from them!!! Big wins for this dog momma, I’m ecstatic and grateful we’ve hit the spot for our babies!!Would recommend and will buy again 10/10, seems durable after at least 5 chew sessions giving the girls turns of 10-15 min each, the video shows the wear from those sessions and it’s not too rough yet. Their breath smells better after each session, and my older girl who hardly ever chews sometimes gets bloody gums when she does chew, that’s gone away now that she’s chewing this toy regularly for about 2 weeks, twice a week (working our way up slowly to 3-4 times weekly). As you can see in the video, they don’t even need the jerky treat anymore, they’ve fallen in love with the toy so much! But it helps encourage them to get their mouth working in different ways around the whole bone and not just one part, so I’ll keep getting the treats for better overall coverage of the whole mouth getting cleaned. The size is a little small for my big boxer girls but not too small, they won’t swallow any parts but they are mindful chewers, not too heavy-more like medium chewers, and they actually always choose the smaller toys over the big ones so it’s perfect to pique their interest! Easy to take apart and clean, put in the treats and hand over to the dogs, they don’t unscrew the end of the bone even if it gets a little loose during a chew sesh. We wash it with water after each use and set it out to dry, never gets stinky so far. Good value and great use for the money!

Treato Holder for Golden Retriever
This is a good, safe way to share treats with my dog. The manner in which treats are loaded forces the dog to work in getting the treat while cleaning teeth and enjoying the gnawing. Highly recommend.PS if treats dry out, add a little peanut butter when loading them or store in bag with a piece of bread to keep treats soft.

Amazing !!!
Okay so I am pleasantly surprised at this treat toy !! I have two terrier mix girls and they both LOVE these. Iâve tried brushing my oldest oneâs teeth and she hates it , I was blown away at how great her teeth look after chewing on this for a while, almost all the plaque is gone !!! I can hear the bristles brushing as sheâs chewing and it keeps them occupied for a great while. I highly recommend this ! And for the price compared to some other dog toys you canât beat it. I will be purchasing two more when these are torn up. Super satisfied !

Your pups will Love You
We originally bought the first version of the bristle bone a few years ago. Our dogs loved it and our vet was surprised at how clean their teeth are. They wore out the first ones so we just bought the new version which is even greater. I’ve purchased them as gifts for people getting puppies and recommending them to many.We call the bones the dog’s “chewy bones” and that’s what they have for lunch since their regular meals are only two times a day. We give them to the girls when we have lunch so it keeps them busy and happy while we eat. They both take the bones to their crates and gnaw on them for a long time.

Way to hard on gums
The brush that is in this toy which is supposed to clean the dog’s teeth feels like a wire brush. I couldn’t imagine anyone brushing their teeth with it. My dog wouldn’t chew on it until I took it apart, removed the brush and added another chew disc. Now she’s chewing on it. This should be made with a softer brush.

Worked right away
Our vet recommended this and it worked to remove old plaque right away. Kinda amazing. Dog clearly would sell his left leg for it too.Years ago a pet store owner pointed out the popular dental colored chew treats came out the same color they went in..so we discontinued using them. Plaque built up. Years later this bone removed the black from his teeth.

bleeding gums – dangerous, so watch your dog
Let me begin by saying a really like Busy Buddy products. Just not this one.I got “small”, and it’s way too large for my Miniature Poodle. Need to have a “wider” mouth opening. I’d say this size is better for a Border Collie. The bristles in the center piece break off….which may be a good thing bcs they are “sharp” at the ends and caused bleeding gums.Certainly, this toy is downright dangerous for a dog with dental problems and elderly dogs.I think I am going to try removing the bristle center area and see how that goes. If the dogs eat off the “rawhide” doughnuts quickly, so be it.One of my poodles loves to disassemble this toy, so it does have some play value.Just be careful to watch your pets’ gums. I would not buy this toy again. mbUPDATE: My puppy and senior dog like the chewy ‘rings.’ My warrior middle dog likes to take the toy apart, but I have to be vigilant about bleeding gums.UPDATE: I threw these all away. Too dangerous. Now, none of them will eat the rings! Guess I’ll throw these away, too……..

My dog really enjoyed this toy however since purchasing it I have yet to be able to find the size B rings that are used with it. Size A and C refills seem readily available but no luck with “B”. I would recommend ensuring you have access to the appropriate sized refills before purchasing.
