Quieter than most toys and my dog loves them
These footballs have saved my life. I think Iâve bought close to 10 at this point? And toys primarily living outside in Texas heat is the only reason Iâve had to buy so many. In general, they are pretty durable but will get cracked if you leave them in the sun.I have a German Shepherd who absolutely loves playing in the backyard but also takes his responsibilities as a guard dog very seriously so he barks a LOT while he is out there and unfortunately we live in the suburbs so Iâm constantly bringing him inside that way he isnât bothering the neighbors. That is, until I got this football. The grunts are pretty quiet which is a win in my book because my dog communicates by way of squeak toy. You might think Iâm joking but if I have guests over and we are having a conversation, he comes in the room and squeaks his toys violently to participate in the discussion. For that reason, it takes me an hour to pick out a new toy at the store because I stand in the aisle squeaking every single once until I find one I think I can handle listening to 24/7. If youâre reading this review, you probably know that at a certain point, the squeaks can become unbearable. If thatâs why youâre looking at this toy, you donât have to read any further. Just buy it, you wonât regret it. That is reason enough for me to rate this 5 stars. But the story doesnât end there. What I did not foresee was him also using this wonderful grunting football to communicate with the neighbors. Now instead of barking outside, he grabs one of these footballs and squeaks it for all heâs worth while bucking around in circles like a bull. He still does it after having broken the noise maker in the toys. He just loves them so much. Can I guarantee your dog will also take to squeaking this toy over barking? No. I didnât do anything special to get him to do that, and I doubt I could train another dog to do so. Regardless, this toy has single handedly solved a lot of my dogs endearing but somewhat annoying habits in ways I could not have anticipated so maybe itâll work for you too.

This sucker is hard
I got this for our corgi. Be advised, this is not a small or smaller medium dog toy. She has a hard time picking this up in her mouth, and definitely cannot squeak it, as it is bulky and harder material. This would be a good toy for a larger dog. It has a nice grunt as others indicated, a little different grunt than the pig oinks you may know from another popular toy.

Decent durability
My dog loves this ball. However, the squeaker came loose inside the ball almost immediately. On the plus side, my Dalmatian still hasnât managed to destroy the ball yet, and it still bounces well. Bonus points bc itâs too large to roll under the sofa 🙂

Durable, no joke!
I’m skeptical of what “durable” toys I buy for my German shepherd but this has proven to withstand his relentless chewing, while still in one piece! I’ve had it for over a month, I’m impressed by the genuine durable quality of this toy!

Squeak don’t last
This is the second grunting bunny I have bought just because my dog loves it so much. Well he loves any squeaker, but this one has a nice low frequency sound that isn’t as obnoxious as most. However any new squeaker gets chewed like bubble gum until it’s absolutely pulverized. This one only lasts a couple hours before he has killed the squeak. Good sound, good shape, doesn’t last long for my guy. He still enjoys it after the squeak is gone, it gives a nice whooshing air sound and is fun to play tug with. The rubber is strong and can take a real beating. But if you have a squeak destroyer like me, it won’t last long.

Not Durable In a Potentially Unsafe Way
I bought this ball because of the fun grunting sound–we have the football, which sounded similar until my dog loved the grunt out of it. The football, however, is intact. The first time I bought this ball, my dog played with it for less than an hour and squeezed it so the seam around the grunter split. I figured maybe it was a one-time flaw, let the company know, and they promptly sent a replacement. The same split in the same place on the ball within the same time one-hour timeframe happened.Normally Petstages makes good products–this one I do not recommend for strong-jawed chewers.

Cheap don’t last
My dog loves this toy but they don’t last long. They come apart at top and the squeaker falls out after a few days. I’ve spent more money than I can count on these toy but I have found a better toy at Walmart and at the third of the price.

My Malinoisâ favourite toy. Itâs fairly tough, and lasts him longer than most other toys.
