Great to get your pet moving
I have been challenged with not letting my dog sleep all day while I am working, so I purchased this item. It works awesome, I put the button at the end of a hall and the dispenser at the other end. My dog loves to run, push the button, and then run to get a small treat. Works as advertised.

Superior to the PetGeek version
I bought this as a replacement for a PetGeek model that stopped working after 9 months. Both my dog and cat loved it and I was disappointed in the non-response from PetGeek after a few weeks, so I bought the Potorama as a replacement. So far, I find the Potorama to be an improvement.Compared to PetGeek:- itâs a little smaller, so easier to store- rechargeable base and button is an improvement over PetGeek, whose base ate size C batteries quickly and otherwise needed to be plugged in to work.- there are notches in the treat bin door to let you control the size of the opening, which lets you control how stingy or generous the machine is. PetGeek had the same opening but not the notches, so I had to eyeball how much I had it open. I change the opening size based on what kibble or treat Iâm using so I find remembering how many notches to leave open for each type very helpful- the button has 9 pre-recorded sound options, compared to PetGeekâs 2. Theyâre mostly animal sounds to go with the cute stickers of animal faces you can apply to the base, but some are just chimes- this version also lets you record your own sound. I tried it but preferred one of the pre-recorded ones â I chose one that sounds a little like magic.- there are lights to indicate whether the power is on on the base and button, an improvement over just a switch on the PetGeek versionI saw complaints that the charging doesnât last long. Iâve had mine for a week and havenât had to recharge, so no complaints here. (Update: it was 25 days before I had to charge it) I donât have it out and turned on all the time thoughâI only turn it on âon demand.â My pets use sound buttons with words recorded on them to communicate with me and this is one of the things they ask for. The rechargeable base and button make it easy to move to a different roomâmy dog needs NO cats nearby when she uses it.Itâs my dogâs most-requested way to get food, so Iâm glad I found this and no longer have to tell her the old machine is broken and to choose something else.Minor problems so far:- a flap that covers the on/off switch on the button had a flimsy attachment and I just use it without it- like the PetGeek, sometimes the dispenser spins but doesnât spit anything out. That is more likely due to my somewhat stingy opening in the treat bin. Because I use this as entertainment for my pets not as a feeder, I think the no treat moments contribute to a bit of a gambling attitude. They donât get frustrated and just press again. Within 3 tries, a treat usually does shake loose

Great puzzle
This is a great way to slow down my dogs’ eating and a fun challenge for some very treat motivated pups.I have to agree with some other reviews, there are a lot of times where they will press the button and the machine will turn to release treats, but nothing comes out. They get frustrated with that sometimes.I often use pepitas as treats for my dogs and initially used those, but they ended up getting stuck in the little crevice where the treat holder door (whatever it’s called) slides open and closed to allow more or less treats to come out. I had to unscrew the treat holder to open it and get those out so that I could open the door again. Moral of the story, don’t use anything thin like pumpkin seeds.I preferred to use the recording option for the button. Not sure why the recording you create is so much quieter than their preprogrammed noises….The only other thing I dislike is that I don’t see a way to remove the little platform that the treats fall into. I’m sure a bunch of crumbs are going to get stuck under there and it won’t be very easy to clean in general.

Great Investment for our pup
Our pup really enjoys playing with this toy, we taught him how to use buttons so it was really easy for him to get use to pushing the button to release the food. I love being able to set the button away from the feeder so that he has to run back and forth to activate it and get the food, allowing our pup to get a little exercise in the process. The stickers for the feeder are really cute, and our pup doesn’t seem to mind the dog faces. I love that the components of this feeder are all rechargeable and I don’t have to worry about using batteries, so far the range seems pretty good. We’re still trying to figure out the perfect opening for the food dispenser because on occasion, no food is dispensed which leads to our pup getting frustrated and pushing the button multiple times before checking which than leads to all the food falling out. But all in all, this is a really good indoor activity for our pup to get out a little bit of energy and allows him to play without us really having to run around with him.
