Grandkid approved!
I bought this about a week ago and my grandkids have probably put them together 20 times! They absolutely love these puzzles! They are very sturdy and should last a long time. They are having fun and learning at the same time. Win Win!

Very well made!
I was worried when I read some other reviews that said the puzzle pieces do not fit in very well, but I took the chance and bought it for my kids. And I’m glad I did! They all fit perfectly and they even designed it with spaces to put your finger in to get the pieces out, which I think is very thoughtful. The pieces are thick and sturdy, so I can let my 1yo play with it without worrying she will bend or break the pieces, and I expect it to last for years. The edges are also smooth so I’m not worried about my kids getting splinters. As for the picture, I love that the base and the pieces have different but matching info that is great for learning. For example: the US map one has the capital cities in the base and state names in the pieces; the world map show the region’s animals on the base and landmarks on the pieces; the solar system shows facts about the planets on the base and the planet names on the pieces. The puzzle also comes with a bag to keep it all nice and tidy. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase!

Perfect for age 4-6 teaching many subjects
Aside from just learning US and world geography, there are so many lessons that are simultaneously taught, including shape matching, reading names, putting puzzles together, etc. Of course, you can also add so much more if you’re working with the child instead of just letting them do it on their own, but they can do that as well. For our two 5-year-old grandchildren, we also talk about who we know who in our family lives or was born where, what products the state produces, and the geographical and climate features of each state, etc. It’s the basis for whatever you want to teach and it starts the process of them understanding so much more about the world than just their immediate surroundings.Of course, they don’t understand everything, but it makes a great foundation for long-term understanding. Our granddaughter can now tell you the names and locations of all the major use rivers and mountains, about 20 state capitols from memory, and can recognize and place each state by name. Of course, she has little actual understanding of what she’s learning, but that can come later… and she has fun with this. It’s the first toy she grabs out of her box when we come over.

Really fun puzzles–a little more challenging for toddlers/preschoolers
I purchased these wooden puzzles for my preschool-age boys that were looking for something new. I really love the puzzles; they’re really sturdy and seem to be really well made. I love the pictures and designs. They seem a little bit more challenging than what I had in mind though. The countries map puzzle is in the shape of the countries and is probably the easiest puzzle for my kids because of the shape of the continents and how big the country pieces are.The USA map puzzle is easy to match the shape of the states with the pictures underneath the puzzle pieces, except that the colors of the states don’t always match up, making it a little more challenging. With help, my boys can complete both of those puzzles. The solar system puzzle is the most challenging. The planets are their own pieces, but everything else around the planets are in odd shapes and are difficult to figure out where they go. The picture underneath the pieces aren’t very helpful in identifying where the pieces go. This particular puzzle seems more suitable for a 6-8 year old (to do on their own), but can still be done with a preschooler with lots of help.Regardless, I’m glad that I purchased these puzzles. My boys still enjoy them even though I can’t usually have them play with them on their own.

Great learning tool
Bought these for my 5 yr old grandson to practice where the states are, and these are wonderful..they taught me some things I’d forgotten ð² he already knew the solar system, put that one together in less than 5 minutes, but he really likes the other two with the states and continents..love that you can hang them as well because they’re magnetic..great value, awesome learning tool

Difficult for littles
The educational value and quality of this set is wonderful, but for littles that are used to simply matching the pieces this is very confusing to complete. I would recommend it for older kids.
