Good gift
This has been a wonderful and entertaining gift for my three year old son. The animal itself is very soft and you can not feel the battery pack. He loves to here the roar and find it throughout the house.

Don’t waste your $$!
Ignoring other poor reviews, I bought this toy for my 3 yr old for Christmas. What a mistake! It never worked, even when the lion was not hidden and within a foot of the wand! I would return, but now my daughter is attached to it and just thinks of it as a stuffed animal. I could have bought her a stuffed lion for a third of the price and she would be happy. Don’t waste your $$!

Not worth the money
We bought this for my 21 month old daughter for a Valentines gift. She loves hide and seek and animals so it seemed like the perfect match. I ordered it and got in plenty of time for Feb 14. However it never worked. My husband and I tried to play with it before we gave it to her and you had to be on top of the lion for the wand to work – well that seems pointless. It is also hard to turn on and off. Needless to say we returned it because for the money we paid we assumed the toy would work. The concept is great. If it worked well I would probably have even been willing to pay a little more. Bottom line – don’t buy!

Gorgeous with a poor roar
It is a gorgeous, cuddly Lion. However, the roar sounds like plastic wheels being dragged on the floor. Not even close to realistic!

My niece loved the toy but something was wrong with the sound system when you pressed the button the lion would sometimes not roar or it would be slow at it

Great fun, went over BIG with 3-yr-old
Great idea – I bought this as a gift for a 1 and 3 year old and it went over BIG. The 3-year-old quickly got the idea of searching for the hidden stuffed lion by following the “roar”. The remote needs AAA batteries but we stock them anyway.

Everyone loves hide and seek
Purchased for a toddler one year but every single child loved loved loved playing with the hide and seek lion. The older kids loved hiding it and even adults enjoyed hiding and looking for this lion. Great for playing indoors and promotes problem solving and movement. This is a must have for every family!
