Product Description

RuffwearRuffwear

The Ruffwear Polar Trex dog boots are designed for warmth, traction, and protection in winter conditions. The insulated upper softshell fabric creates breathable, weatherproof warmth in extreme cold and inclement weather. Ruffwear-designed Vibram outsole provides excellent traction on frozen or icy surfaces. The closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit. A pullover stretch gaiter keeps snow out and protects the hook-and-loop ankle closure from the elements. Reflective trim provides low-light visibility for safety. Available in sets of 2 boots and 4 boots. Just as you would with your gear, adjust fit and check tension of boots 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure as needed. Washing instructions: Secure fasteners, wash in cold water with mild detergent on a gentle cycle, and air dry.

    They stay on while running
Boots are very nice quality.they go on easier then others. They actually stay on while my Weimaraner is running on the iceWith her skinny legs only bad is snow gets in and hardens to ice, but I have neoprene to wrap around top .Highly recommended

Difficult to put on, fall off easily
These dog boots are made from quality materials; however, the Velcro and zipper fastening system is difficult to maneuver and needs to open wider, making it challenging to put the boots on. This issue is compounded by the very shallow boot profile. Additionally, with only one strap to tighten, the boots tend to fall off easily. A more affordable set of four, which is readily available, worked better for us.

    Great protection for dog paws
I bought these for my dog because he has degenerative myelopathy and drags his back paws. They protect his feet pretty good but they only last about a month because he drags his paws and tjd toe of the Botticelli wears out. The Velcro ties are great because they stay tight on his paws.A zipper panel covers the Velcro ties to keep them from them from coming loose. However on one pair the zipper broke after only two weeks. I still recommend these booties because they have a great variety of sizes to fit your dogs feet perfectly.

    Definitely not worth the money
I ordered these back in the summer to use for my dog this winter because they are supposed to be water resistant. The 1st time I used them my dog started walking VERY slow to the I had to carry her inside after 10 maybe 15 minutes being out in the snow. When I took the boots off her, her paws were frozen and soaking wet and it took 2 days for the boots to dry completely! I am absolutely livid because I bought 2 pairs for over $100 and because I got them when I could afford to get them I’m unable to try getting a refund now!

Wish I had a pair to match my dog.
These are really nice boots and protect my pupper’s paws, but in Minnesota winter they get clogged with a bunch of snow which makes his legs super cold and probably not comfortable. I guess they are more for fall? Hmm.

    Great product
Bought these for our dog who cut her back paws on a walk and wouldn’t heal due to daily use. They work great, no problems adjusting to walking in them.

They’re cute, extremely well made, and unfortunately positively useless.
Ordered them. Two arrived. Y’know, cuz dogs come with two feet. They looked great, and seems SO much better made than the ones I was trying to replace. Ordered another set for my very unique dog’s extra feet along with a set of socks. (these come in sets of 4. I assume they think you need extras or have two dogs with the standard number of legs/feet which is obviously 2.)So I’m up around, what, $130 now? Anyways, I should have paid closer attention when I put them on her to confirm the size. Our girl’s first walk in them was so painful for her she just stopped. I took them off her front feet and realized the single velcro strap goes right over her dewclaws, forcing them to rub into the side of her foot, quickly drawing blood.Well made and great looking are only worth something if they perform their basic function. These do not.But keep reading reviews. You’ll find all sorts of great advice on how to spend more money to use something that, at its root, is an extremely simple device. Don’t tell me how to fidget them. Don’t sell me more socks. MAKE A SHOE THAT WORKS! And while you’re at it, why not sell them in sets that match the actual number of feet I’m trying to protect? This entire experience couldn’t have possibly been more useless.Never again.Disclaimer: No, I didn’t attempt a return. No, I didn’t call them, nor do I have any desire to. I’m sure they would have taken them back. All the disappointment you’re reading is aimed purely at the product.

    Fits large
Quality of material and craftsmanship is good but it fits larger than expected. Width of shoes are about 1/4 inch wider than measurement per sizing. With the single strap the boot slides off my dog’s feet too easily.

Fit is very good. These boots are well made. There on the pricier side but they are worth it.

Sehr gute Qualität, passen super. Allerdings ist der Preis wirklich nicht angebracht.

Lovely material and very well sawn but the strap doesn’t fit the leg so she would lose it eventually or twist her ankle. Shame though.

Bought for our old Labradoodle who had a toe off due to cancer. Not only did it protect the wound but not once did it come off. Used on his rear leg. Not cheap but as always you get what you pay for.

May be I should have read the description better! Pairs it said but at nearly £80 I kind of thought that I would have two pairs – ie four boots… Seems not! I have two boots. I havent even started to try them on the dog – what a waste of money. Surely, if you are selling boots for dogs they come with four paws? Or bloody big warning that its only two boots…. more feedback after dog and I have tried them on but I am seriously not impressed! Why the heck would you sell something for a four footed animal in twos?????
