Great quality socks! They work fantastic to prevent licking on legs & feet ð¾
My dog has recently started to obsessively lick a papilloma (wart) growing on his ankle. While waiting for his “non-emergency” appointment at the vet to approach, (which is still a ways out), I started ordering lick prevention devices from Amazon. First was an inflatable donut collar, which didn’t work out. He’s old & blind in one eye, and the neck restraint made him buck like a wild bull. No bueño for a senior dog who could end up injuring himself. My next deterrent was these socks. They’re actually long enough, (almost 6″), which provides adequate cover for his ankle wart, and prevents the incessant licking.He’s a 12lb shorkie-tzu, so I ordered the small and they are the perfect size. The way they fit him is similar to a thigh high for a human. I’m only using one sock right now for our purpose, but they come in a pack of four. There are separate velcro wraps included for the legs, which securely attach onto the sock with a 2 part snap. The velcro has enough length to loop around his little leg twice. The velcros are necessary to prevent dogs from kicking the footwear off. If you’ve ever seen a video of a dog in shoes or socks, you already know that they do the walking high kicks when their paw pads are covered. They use their pads for tactile sensations when walking, so when their pads are covered up, they can’t feel the floor anymore. This can be disorienting for them until they get used to wearing footwear.These aren’t shoes though. They are thicker material woven socks with grippy dots on the both sides of the foot portion. There’s no hard bottom (i.e. sole), so I don’t think they’d be ideal for outdoor use. They would work (for a while) on paved surfaces like sidewalks and such, but they won’t provide any protection against the outdoor elements. I think these are best suited for indoor use. They actually work fantastic as a licking deterrent on the legs/feet for hot spots & other skin irritations.The quality of these doggie socks is surprisingly really good for the price, and undoubtedly worth a 5 star rating! I’m so glad I got them because my little old man actually adjusted to them quickly, they stay up & on his leg, and they’re protecting him from being able to lick his growth, which was starting to show signs of developing a hot spot.

These do work better than others Iâve tried but they do occasionally still slip off. I bought them for my 6 lb dog whoâs in a wheel chair and needs traction on the wood floors.

These are decent. They are a little big for the size to me. I normally get my dog a size small shoe/sock and they fit great but these are a little big for the size small. Not so big he can’t wear them and they move around but enough I can tell they are a little big

Fits tight even without velcro
These doggo socks are nice and really thick! That was a nice surprise. I was expecting thin socks that would slip off since it comes with velcro straps. There’s a button on the socks that you attach the velcro to. My dog doesn’t care for socks but I needed something because she gets itchy paws and when I clean and put ointment I want to keep her from licking so these socks were perfect. She was not able to take it off on her own. She usually figures out how to take off socks and shoes. It was a nice surprise to see all 4 socks still on her feet after an hour! These socks fit really well, i didn’t need to use the velcro and they didn’t slip off!

They work well for dogs with long nails
I’ve tried several brands of these but the problem I have is that my dog’s nails are long and most of them don’t accommodate that. But these are soft like a sock so I can leave them down further to accommodate his nails. He wasn’t a fan at first but after a half hour he was walking around like they weren’t there. They are affixed with a strap that’s fastened to the boot with a snap and then wrapped around and secured with velcro. I only wish the bottom had more protection to them since we have goatheads here but at least it will keep them from sticking all the way in his feet. I’m a fan!

Great price and quality
Really nice quality. The medium was a good size on my 40 LB dog. Took a minute to get used to walking with them but didn’t feel to heavy and weird to him for long. Each sock has a button to snap the velcro piece onto so it stays in place and can tighten so they don’t come off your dog. Nice grippy on both sides. Easy to hand wash, could probably turn inside out on delicate, maybe use a garnet bag. Snug but breathable at the same time. Great for protecting paws outside or better grip on tile floors. Also if they have an injury you can bandage it up and secure it to keep dirt from getting in there or licking. Great price for the quality and thought put into these.
