Learned about this product from @orangeboyphil and decided to try it out for our lab.Background: Our 10yo golden, Bear, and 4yo lab, Cyrus are both food-motivated good bois. While Bear sees slow feeders/licky mats as mere vehicles for his food, Cyrus often allows his hunger, curiosity & desire to play to get the better of him. Example: While B will focus on the food & avoid eating parts of sniffy mats made of felt/fabric, C will shake the same fabric sniffy mat like it’s a stuffed chew toy and even tear off a flap of felt if he’s trapped a piece of kibble in it![+] size :: This thing is pretty big! But the LARGE is the perfect size for our 95-lb C.[+] price :: With the available coupon (at the time of purchase), I paid just shy of $20, which I think is a great price for a slow feeder/licky mat of this size and material.[+] suction cup hold :: There are MANY suction cups, and for gentler dogs (like B) who’ll just focus on the food, it should stay in place easily.[-] suction cup hold :: In spite of the MANY suction cups, but for less discriminatory dogs that may or may not try to consume anything that fits in their mouth (like C), getting a good hold of one of the edge leaves is enough to start lifting the mat off the floor (at least, off our our solid, Swedish-finished oak wood floors). Perfect for brachycephalic or small dogs
Many slow feeder bowls are not made to work well for short muzzled dogs or even some small or toy breeds. The wells or paths are too deep. What a frustrating way to eat!!And then if you have a really determined and hungry little guy nuzzling into the stainless steel or not-so-great plastic bowl they can really end up hurting their little snout.Even if you arenât looking for a slow feeder but wanted to give your pup the fun experience of a snuffle mat but have wondered where to start I will tell you. Donât start with the fabric and felt ones!! Yes, they are so cute! Yes, your dog will have a blast. But dang, they are a pain to wash. You will need to put them in the washing machine often or they will get nasty, even with dry food because they will slobber on it. You mainly need to stick with dry foods but can sneak some veggies if itâs on wash day. They just get gross.And then when they pick it up and shake it and the treats go flying around the room!But this cute silicone slow feeder mat works as a snuffle mat!We have a small pug who eats fast and then tries to trick the next family member into feeding him. But when we use this cute purple mat he gets so excited and it easily takes him 10x longer to finish his food. Enough time for his tummy to tell his brain heâs full. And he had fun.We pour a scoop of his kibble over the mat and spread it a bit. Most will easily fall to the bottom. Next we add his treat. Some peas or pumpkin and smoosh those in. Occasionally a tiny sprinkle of cheese.You have multiple sizes and patterns to select from.We love this full leaf as it has lots of hiding spots that are flexible and easy enough for short muzzled and small dogs to fully access.It is a super soft silicone so no sore noses. My poor pup did rub is nose nearly raw on a felt snuffle mat after 10 minutes.You could put hard or soft foods in it.You could fill it and freeze it. I never have tried this though.It has suction cups on the bottom so no sliding around while they eat and no flinging food around the room.Itâs so easy to clean!!!Always monitor your dog for safety.My dog is a very destructive chewer and I was concerned he may try to rip this apart. He has never tried to chew on any of this. He seems to know that yummy food comes with it so itâs sacred to him. But we still remove it as soon as he has licked it clean.Tip when filling it is to set it on a kitchen towel, paper plate or paper towel. Do not set it on a hard surface like the kitchen counter or the suction cups will stick and you will be left trying to pull a floppy silicone mat full of food off the counter. Not fun when the suction cups release ha ha!

Very Cool
This is by far the best snuffle mat Iâve used. Itâs huge, so I can put a lot of treats or kibble in it to keep my pups busy for a long time. I love the fact that it sticks to the floor so my dogs canât drag it around the room or flip it over (to get all the food out quickly). Best of all, itâs easy to get wash!

This is amazing for my golden retrievers! I have a 9.5 and 2.5 yr old. The youngest eats so fast on her regular bowl and this slows her down to almost 7-8 minutes. She also just likes to work so I like that gives her some mental stimulation for a little bit. My older one can use it too! I like that this is easier to clean than a fabric snuffle mat. I donât particularly need the suction cups, but itâs nice to have. Highly recommend for your dog to make dinner time more fun!

We have 3 dogs that inhale their food and all three took to these mats immediately! It slowed down meal time and they seem to really enjoy snuffling for their food. My small dog has short snout and has no problem getting her food. Mats are good quality, durable, and easy to clean with sink sprayer or dishwasher. Suction cups prevent sliding around while eating, I prepare with towel underneath then transfer to floor. Great value and keeps the furbabies entertained! I would buy again!

I love this snuffle mat! I especially love that itâs washable and doesnât get gross like the material ones. Itâs also a nice size so you can hide all their food at once! It feels fairly durable but the leaves are very flexible so Iâd imagine they could be bit off easily if unattended. This is a great buy for the value of what you pay. My dog didnât hesitate to eat off it, easily uses it and seems to have a lot of fun as youâll see on the video! I also love that it has suction cups on the bottom so it doesnât move around while they are using it 🙂

My german shepherd loves this snuffle mat. Super easy to clean since itâs dishwasher safe, it takes her about 7 minutes to get through (which is better than her usual 2 minutes with other toys) and it suctions to the floor really well and doesnât budge. Love it!
