Good for emergencies
I got this pack of leashes so we could have an “emergency leash” by each door of our house. One of my dogs is an escape artist, and while we’re working on training better behavior (he’s a recent rescue), we needed a cheap way to have a leash for capturing him by all of our doors. We got enough in this set to have one in each of our cars too, in case we have to wrangle a loose dog on the road (which has happened several times!).For the emergency dog catching, these work well as a little lasso to snag my hound before he gets too far. They hang nicely on a little nail or hook by each door, and you can keep them looped and ready to go. They seem sturdy and we haven’t had any issues dealing with bringing the escapee back home using them. They come in lots of colors which is fun.

Great alternative to a leash
My one dog (shih-tzu mix) freaks out with the slightest rumble of thunder or if we go in a different part of the yard then heâs used to going (we have a few acres). He used to slip right out of his collar and one time he ran into the road. My husband was able to get him and thankfully a driver stopped for him. With these, he canât do that. Theyâre thick, well made and wash well. They are also a good length. All 3 dogs tend to go in different directions outside and there is enough length theyâre not on top of each other and no one is slipping out of their collars.

Keep them on hand
I keep slip leads handy at home and in the car in case a stray dog happens by, cheap ones because the lead is probably going to go with the dog to its owner or animal control. These are nicer than the ones I had before.

Great for animal rescue
