Super suction cups totally adhere these inserts to the dogâs dish. My dishes are stainless steel but would work on any surface. Great option if you have dogs who âinhaleâ their food. If they slow down, you can remove the inserts and you still have your bowl. These are made of super sturdy silicone. You can put them in the dishwasher, and they can be rolled up for storage.

I have German Shepherds who eat twice a day, yet act like theyâve been starved for weeks. I bought this to slow my puppy down on eating but she just tends to eat around it rather than it slowing her down. I don’t really notice a difference in the speed so I feel like it didn’t really help like I thought it would. It’s flexible, so it’s easy for the dog to just move to the side to eat the kibble.

This has been a life saver! I recently switched my pups food to include more fresh food instead of mostly kibble. He loves it so much, he would literally inhale his whole bowl in about 45s and he would barely chew his kibble. I knew I had to do something. It now takes him about 3-5 minutes to eat and the slow feeder insert doesnât move one bit. And trust me when I say my doggy goes to town during meal time! I bought one and after I say how great it works I ended up ordering another one. My Weimaraner, Clyde, acts as if he hasn’t eaten in a month and someone will steal his food. Crazy buddy. I always have used two bowl for his 2.5 cups of food (twice daily). I even put those plastic dryer balls in his bowls to try to slow him down. I could keep two plastic dryer balls in each bowl, but he was still acting like a starving hound. Then I found this; Keegud Slow Feeder Dog Bowls Insert [36 Octopus Suction Cups. The suction cups really do work and it slows him down BIG TIME. I picked the ‘octopus” style because it looked like it had more twists and turns to hid the dog food. I really like this! My dog has a habit of scoffing down all his food in one go and ends up burping all night. We’ve got several snuffle mats but this suction insert is great for when we’re in a rush and dont want to spend time literally hiding bits of food in material. Definitely slows him down! We’ve had it a couple months now and no damage to it at all. We didn’t need to cut the flaps at all as it sits perfectly in his bowl. Also easy to clean. The only thing thats annoying is that it sometimes slides around inside his metal bowl like side to side so he has managed to slip it all the way out the side a couple of times. Not the biggest deal because the suction is good but just a comment. Overall I would buy again.
