Wonderful scratcher, my Miyu loves it!
My cat absolutely loves this scratcher. This is my replacement purchase of this product, since like all scratchers it shredded apart (thatâs kind of its purpose). It took a year for her to tear through it, which in my opinion is pretty good considering she uses us constantly. I like the base size, and she loves to play with her toys around and on it. I also love it because itâs compact without being too small for her to enjoy. Sturdy enough to never fall over and just the right height. The feather toys attached both times tore off within a day, but I usually just tie and reattach them or a put new feather string toy on. Problem solved. I like that you have the option to take off the attached toys as well. Overall great product for the price. Yes, it may shred and seem low quality to some but thatâs itâs purpose and I feel for the price and the amount of time it takes to need replacing, itâs a great deal.

Cat LOVES
I have now bought this scratch pole for the 3rd time. Not because the quality is poor, but because my cat absolutely loves it! He doesn’t like rope or other materials on other scratch poles. It holds up to my little guy’s scratching and playing for about a year, before it really starts to fray badly. For the price, I have no problem with that! You can put it together in 2 minutes and it’s ready to use.One note, it is on the small and light side. Might not be great for larger cats. My cat also prefers to have the pole laying diagonally/horizontallly, not vertically which I believe helps with it’s sturdiness. I could see it tipping over if used by a stronger/older cat with it positioned traditionally.
Might be good for kids, but just collapses when you lean your back into it –

Only toy that my two fat cats, absolutely love
Both my fats cats really love this toy. I bought them several hundred dollars worth of other items and yet this one they wear out and Iâve had to purchase a second. Itâs easy to put wherever they might be scratching and if you use the leg from the sofa to hold it down and it works perfectly and doesnât get knocked over.

My naughtiest cat loves it!
Iâve had this scratching post for about a month now, and one of my cats LOVES it! You can see in the video that she is a little big for it, and I often find it tipped over. Today she got the string toy off the plastic holder, but sheâs been furiously at work on that for about a week. Mission accomplished! Itâs easy enough to tie on again. The carpet started coming up at the glued seam within the first few days, but it hasnât come completely undone, and this cat is ferocious in her clawing. The carpet is beat up after a month, but I think it will last us another couple of months before needing to be replaced.Pros:1. Naughty cat loves it and doesnât scratch up my rug anymore (she doesnât like sisal or cardboard scratchers)2. It was relatively inexpensive3. Easy to assemble4. Provides a lot of entertainment5. Not a hideous cat tree6. The feather/ribbon toys give it a bit more attraction and flair. Kitty spends more time playing with it.Cons:1. An 11 lb cat can easily tip it over with rough play (but it isnât heavy so itâs not really dangerous, just scary for her)2. There are no carpet replacement options. When this is done, itâs garbage unless youâre crafty3. It isnât going to be a long lasting item. The carpet is peeling up after a few weeks of rough play. That combined with #2 above makes this a 3 star item for me.My cat says to get over myself and give it five claws because she loves it. My other cat is sulking under the couch and gives it two snubs.

Great Scratcher
My cat loves this scratcher. The scratcher is well built and takes a while to get completely destroyed. The feather spin portion is also fun to use and my cat enjoys playing with it. Easy to set up. My only complaint is that SmartyKat does not sell a refill of the scratcher part specifically. You have to buy the whole product again.

Most loved claw exerciser in my house!
We have bought 7 of these since October 2019. We had two adult cats using it extensively! My calico female lays on her side and bats at the toys while resting the other 3 paws on the carpet, claws dug in! She scratches on it and bites on it. She will tear this thing up in no time! It’s not meant to last forever and my kitties get the exercise they need for their claws and teeth.We just got two kittens, they love it as well. They love batting at the toys, one on each toy. They climb the post. They think they pretty tough!As long as they keep making this product, I will keep buying!

Poor durability and construction
i purchased two of these in hopes of keeping my two younger cats from scratching furniture up, I returned one for a refund in less than a month. I was disappointed with the construction, first it’s top heavy and would not stay up unless I used furniture to hold the base down but then the top spinners wouldn’t spin! Then the carpet material was the worst, I could tell it would start falling apart as soon as I opened it, but wanted to give it a try anyway. I’ve had it less than two months and the carpeting is fraying like crazy, I’m sure it will end up in the trash within another month. I will continue to look for something small that will last alot longer. My GoPetClub condo has held it’s own since I got these two guys over 7 months ago. Again, just wanted something smaller to place in other areas of my apt.
