Something nice for a change
I like it. It is a hollow tube but sturdy. Two pieces screw together; the hooks are on round two inch tube that go over the main pole. Sight up where you want the hooks or seed tray or water cup, and tighten the screw down by hand. Easy. The pole stays balanced. I have four feeders on mine plus the water plus the seed tray stand. I dug out ten inches of dirt to install the base so I knew it could not bend. I put dirt around it and tamped the earth. It is fairly solid right now and as the weather changes, the ground will harden up around the base. I put a squirrel baffle and I’m in business. All the way around I like it. Value, appearance, ease of setup, function…all there. Birds started hitting it within seconds. This really is something nice for a change. Nice product. I recommend it highly.

Very sturdy and well made.
This bird feeder/bath stand is very sturdy and well made. It’s a snap to put together; just thread the joints together. It’s easy to install, too. The ground was wet from a heavy rain. So after a little whack with a board on top of the bottom piece, I was able to push it all the way down by hand. The whole install took ten–fifteen minutes. It looks great, especially with the finial at the top. I bought a squirrel proof tube feeder and filled with a mixed seed blend; a simple round feeder with black oil sunflower seeds; a nyjer sack; and a suet holder for a diverse assortment of food. They work like charms. In the three weeks its been up I have attracted about fifteen different species of birds in my back yard and still counting. Add a squirrel baffle to keep those furry pests from gobbling up the sunflower seeds and you’re good to go. This is a good product well worth the modest price

Challenging birdfeeder
My birds are still trying to figure out how to get to goodiesâ¦. I have florida birds some small and some big. Swinging nuts in shells too hard for birds to pull out of basket. Seed holder only accommodates one bird at a time. Some items are plastic. So not sure how long theyâll last in Florida sun and winds? I will update as my doves learn to enjoy. Birds love to perch on poles

Perfect size, easy to put together, extra feeding stations. I used two squirrel baffles and also covered the pole with Vaseline (darn squirrels!!). So far so good…

Instructions For Use With Hummingbird feeders
First, the “stick in the ground” spike this comes with would NOT be sufficient for hanging 4 hummingbird feeders- it would fall over in wind or wet soil. I intended this for my deck so I had to fashion a base strong/heavy enough to keep it upright even in 40 to 50mph winds. 5 stars because it works perfectly even in these winds. I started with a 5-gallon bucket of sand, did not hold. Shopped the local hardware store, picked out an 9in high, 18″ wide clap pot. 60# of Saccrete, and 3 ft” of sched. 80 PVC 3/4″. I had to use a dremel abrasive tool to grind the weep hole just wide enough to allow the PVC to fit through closely, capped the bottom(which will be the uppermost when done) with a pvc cap, and I sealed the pipe joint/clay pot junction with a small amount of caulk. I placed the pot on a 5-gallon bucket to tolerate the cap on the pipe, and carefully leveled the rim of the pot. I also used short lengths of 3/8″ rebar, zip-tied to the pipe inside the pot, and carefully set the pipe to vertical. This is why I used 3′ of PVC, to place the bubble level upright against to insure I could keep the pipe perfectly ( well nearly) vertical. Made the concrete a little watery, so as to not interfere with the rebar/skew the pvc pipe. Also used blue painters tape to secure the pipe to the pot at four quadrants. The concrete bag came to within 2 inches of the rim. After setting overnight, I removed the tape and carefully cut the pipe just short of the rim. Flipped it over, removed the pvc cap on the pipe, and used just two of the three sections of pipe that come with the product so that the top of the capping hangers is at about 52″. Refer to the pictures for a better view. I used a can of a deep red spray paint that will match my red deck, and now that I have confirmed my contraption is perfect, I painted the whole thing.(not the black pipe!). So pvc pipe, 3/4″ schedule 80 (not 40!!) will be a perfect sleeve for this pipe. If you drove a 1″ diameter section of metal pipe (conduit?) about 12″ to 24″ into the ground, this would probably keep this product from toppling from due to heavy weight things hanging off the hangers. I love this device and would buy it again. Heck, I will probably get another one and set it 40′ away from the first so that the hummers don’t fight each other so much. Oh, be sure to pick out a clay pot that has the drain hole close to the center of the base for nominal performance.

Functional but weak
The pole is hollow so it’s very weak. It bent when I hung a flower basket. I went to Home Depot and bought 3 cheap cement rebars and slid them inside the poles. This reinforced them and now they will take on a lot of weight. It’s very attractive and functional, but you definitely need to reinforce it.

If you’re looking for a feeding station for small songbirds this is a pretty good purchase. The pole is thinner than some others on the market and the extra feeding dishes are best for the small birds. It was easy to install but the top 2 arms are best for the lighter platform feeders. Overall it fills my expectations for I was looking for something for the small birds.
