Pets crave a place to call their own – so why are so many cat carriers essentially dog crates scaled down? The Kitty City Extra Large Cat Carrier solves the problem with a design focused on keeping cats calm and collected while they’re on the go, all while being simple to assemble and stow for you. It has a sturdy plastic and metal build, with a metal gate that stays securely shut, yet opens easily for you with a single-motion door lock. With the sides folded, it stores compactly on a shelf in your closet but assembles in a jiffy whenever you need it. Better yet, the unique tent-like shape creates a naturally cozy haven for your cat – all with plenty of grills and vents on all sides so that your pet can feel comfortable surveying her surroundings. It’s easy to clean once the trip is over thanks to the door’s wide design. Plus comfort grip handles make it a more pleasant experience for you as well. Holds pets up to 35 lbs. All in all, it’s a private portable space that makes travel a breeze for your furry friend.

Makes life easier
Makes it so much easier to get the cat into crate by having the large door in the front. It is nice that it is totally collapsible to fold up for easy storage and easy to open back up. A nice feature is the option to take the door off and be able to use it as a cat tent/bed. Is kind of heavy and awkward to carry up a flight of stairs. Is quite large, can easily hold 2 cats. Good value for the price. Well pleased.

So compact and easy to store!
I fell in love with this crate because we are so limited on storage space. The way the crate folds down is simple to do and very compact, yet sturdy. We are actually using this for our three small dogs. We bought one small crate and 1 large. Excellent price and impressive quality!

Super compact and convenient
I typically buy hard plastic type carriers as Iâve had cats escape from soft ones with zippers. Most carriers are very large and bulky and take up a lot of space. This carrier is a great solution. It is sturdy plastic, hits an average sized cat of 9-10 lbs easily and folds down to the size of a small briefcase. I really like this one particularly if space is an issue or you need to keep something in your car. Absolutely recommend!

Cat approved.
I like the color, that itâs lighter than a traditional carrier, easy to clean, and easy to store.I purchased the pad separately and it does not cover the bottom of the XL carrier â there is about a 2â gap all the way around. Disappointing. So thatâs my star deduction.I am concerned about the longevity of the buckles as they feel flimsy. Only time will tell with that, though. The cat clearly likes it. Our annual vet appointment is Friday so I got this ahead of that to get him used to it. I put it on the floor with the pad in it and he went right in of his own accord. He fits fine. Heâs very long but weighs 12lbs. Plenty of room for him. Cat approved.

Love the Carrier
Love this carrier for so many reasons. It’s foldable and the side opening is easy for bunny to get in/out of, but still secure enough for my bunny when it is closed. I feel it is well air circulated and very easy to clean. It’s rooming enough and sturdy for my 5 lb bunny. She likes it too.

Fantastic!
tl;dr: The absolute best pet carrier I’ve ever used, out of various styles and sizes. My only regret about this carrier is that I didn’t find it sooner!PROS:–Flexible, lightweight plastic. I I initially mistook that for possible flimsiness compared to our rectangular carriers’ hard plastic, but not at all. My cat has been in and out of this carrier repeatedly, logging nearly 3,000 miles in it on several long car trips and further miles on numerous short trips. The carrier’s condition remains as good as when it arrived new.–Much easier to get my pet in and out, compared to a conventional carrier, even a top-loading one. Less stress on both sides. Unless a grown cat was regularly trained from kittenhood to be used to a carrier, it’s a huge deal not having to fight an adult cat’s natural instincts to resist confinement in a conventional carrier’s design.–More space and visibility; my cat has plenty of room to stretch out without the larger upper volume and clunkiness of a rectangular carrier, with more light, and he can see out better. Also easier for me to see how he’s doing, even from across a room. The triangle shape made me think it might be more crowded inside, but that’s not the case.–Easy to carry; I was unsure about this at first, as the different shape and weighting felt new and strange. But after a few trials, I figured out the best way to carry it. It’s like any carrier in that I wouldn’t want to have to lug a cat in it very far on foot, but it’s no more difficult than a rectangular carrier.–A real space-saver in that it easily folds up when not in use.CONS:None for me. I’d buy one again and will do so when our 2nd older carrier can’t be patched together anymore.POSSIBLE CAVEATS for which I wonder if a conventional, harder-plastic, rectangular carrier might work better (?):–An unusually combative, terrified animal that is unable to settle down; the carrier’s lighter weight might make it easier for a thrashing animal to knock itself and the carrier over or even pop the door open, I don’t know.–Public transportation in general, unless the animal is mellow, calm, and unlikely to startle.–Air travel; I can’t recall from the product description, but I don’t think this meets commercial airline standards for pet-carrier construction.

Best carrier to go to the vet.
Easy assembly and collapsing. Light and sturdy and even easy and comfortable to carry. Lastly Iâll add that it was super easy to place my cat inside even as she resisted

I have a BIG kitty, who has tons of room to chill in this carrier. He needed something that was 18″ minimum. It’s super durable and easy to open, close and collapse – but hard to escape out of it unless a little kitten. Since it’s a massive cage, when your chubby cat is inside it takes both hands to carry. I’m small and I manage just fine. The bed that comes with it is decent, I put a liner underneath to stop it from sliding around and scaring my cat more. He still hates it bc he knows it’s a carrier, but once he’s in he’s much calmer and can lay comfortably in the car. I volunteer with kitties in need and prefer this way more than standard carriers. My option #2 are the ones that open on the top.

I love this for itâs easy assembly, easy storage, and neat design. My cat loves it too! He enjoys the pillow, the spacious room, and the various ways of seeing whatâs happening around him. The vet loves it too! They love the wide door that offers easy access, plus the fact thereâs not a lot of struggling with it to get it open. Our vet even took it around the office to show everyone else working how near it was! Lol

This cat carrier has been beautifully designed. It folds flat for storage, and can be opened out so that a nervous cat can easily be seen (and taken out without a struggle) at the vet.
