The engineering of this toy is BRILLIANT
I have 5 cats in total, and 3/5 of them absolutely love this toy. One of them that hasn’t touched it is elderly, so she doesn’t play much at all in general. The fifth one seems to be slowly taking interest in it when we swing it around her, but she won’t chase. So overall it’s just an absolute win.Onto the design, oh man the design is awesome. We originally tested it on a flimsy ceiling fan (it’s no longer hung there, it was just a test). The elastic suspending the toy takes 100% of the weight that our kitties put on it. The fan didn’t waver once even when my fiancé and I were tugging on it. Another amazing feature of this design is that there are two halves to the elastic that are held together by a buckle. Our 13+ lb tomcat pretty much instantly figured out the cheat code, which is to just grab it and run as far away as possible. The buckle always breaks away before the elastic has ever snapped. I’m convinced this thing is virtually indestructible. The only problem with this toy is that it can be *very* dangerous. Even our 10 week old kitten has figured out how to fling it half way across the room and back. This is definitely a toy that needs supervision as long as it’s hanging up. Other than that, this thing is a blast.

Cats are obsessed!
Self interactive and lots of fun for older cats and kittens alike. I love the safety release!!! And the mouse is so tempting for them. Only Con is that they’ve already figured out how to hold down the mouse and chewy on the string. They will get through it at some point trying to get the mouse down. ð

Better as a standalone toy then its main function as a door Toy
My cat Tiki loved this when I first put it under my doorway. She pulled on it but immediately snapped it off the base on your doorway. Luckily it has a plastic clip you can use to snap it back in place after this happens, but I recommend you try playing with your cat after its detached from the base. My cat had stopped playing because the plastic clip that holds this toy to the base on your doorway got flung on her when it detached, and it hurt her. She ignored it for several hours after that, then I decided to play to use it as a standalone toy (hey she might like it?) and she much prefer that! Feel free to try it! Maybe your cat will like it as a chasing toy like Tiki does. All cats are different though and Tiki is very feisty but very loving.Overall, this product would receive 2.5 stars from me. Its main function is terrible since your cat will yank it out from the base on your doorway and it may hurt her/him when it snaps off the base (It WILL happen btw). As a standalone toy to use as a chasing toy, its pretty good. The mouse itself is in pretty great shape is very durable and high quality. The string that attaches to your doorway and the plastic clip holding it together and on to your doorway is cheap plastic and terrible quality. In the end its Tikis favorite toy (used as a standalone toy and not on the doorway) that she brings me when she’s bored and wants to play.

Great for active kittens-caution for those that startle easily, especially at night!
I have 3 cats, 2 are less than a year old and still growing. The older one, not a big fan of the toy but the 2 younger ones love it. They can jump and run, clad and bite. They have a lot of fun and it is really cute when they catch it in their mouth and try to walk off with it. I like the safety catch in the string for safe play. The cord did break, but this was due to the kitties teething and liking to chew on everything. They pulled hard enough to get the safety catch to pull apart and when it was on the ground they chewed through the cord. I was able to tie it back together, so it makes it a little higher for them to reach, but hey, more jumping practice and energy usage. The mechanism to hang onto the door frame works really well too. They can’t pull it down but it is easy to install and remove. Plus, it doesn’t leave scratches. And it makes me feel better that they have an interactive toy when I am at work. They will play with the toy at all hours too, and it it hits the wall or frame it can make a smacking or thumping sound. May have scared me in the middle of the night. Worth it though! I will be getting another one to hang in a different door for them.

Decent Toy if you understand its limitations
I’ll start by saying my ~7 month old kittens LOVE this thing and played with it for hours after I put it up yesterday. But be aware the elastic cord is way to short. I had untie the mouse from the break away clip and add additional elastic to let the mouse hang low enough that they could reach it enough to bat at it without having to jump up pretty high first. Also when I got up this morning I found that they had tangled the cord in such a way that they could have easily gotten it wrapped around their neck so they will not be able to play with it unsupervised anymore. So if you realize its an inexpensive toy that should only be used under supervision its pretty good. They’ve only had it for a day so I’m not sure how durable it is but its about what you’d expect quality wise for the price.

Best cat toy Iâve purchased (and the least expensive)
This is my catâs favorite toy. Keeps her entertained without me having to turn anything on. She loves this toy better than any others. Iâve had this about 3 weeks and so far itâs holding up well even though she pulls on it. She plays with it several times a day and during the night and it hasnât broken yet.The holder that attaches to the door frame has not come off even with all the tugging.Itâs on an elastic string and itâs so fun to watch her play. The mouse goes flying and she leaps and plays and when it flips behind the door where she canât get it she comes to get me so I can remove it so she can play some more. Lol.Giving 4 stars for durability only because Iâve just had it a short time and donât know how it will hold up the long term. But even if it only lasts 6 months itâs a great deal at!just over $3 and I would just buy another bone since she loves this so much.

Firstly, this is a super fun toy for our cats. The day our orange tabby successfully pulled hard enough to get the safety release to let go, he walked around the whole house with the mouse in his mouth, meowing all the way.The catch, when you purchase, make sure you double check the knots for the elastic on the plastic release. Our boy was able to remove the small plastic latch from the elastic, which we thought he swallowed⦠significant panic for sure. He was fine, we found the plastic latch later that day. The knots are now tight.Update: the mouse lasted about 3 months. Weâve since purchased the yellow bird version and itâs also a hit. Checked the knots when we got it and made sure theyâre tight. $20 every 3 months may not be too bad for a toy that gets so much play time.Picture: this is the poor mouse after 3 months of play.

Me ENCANTA, porque sigue rebotando solo, por la energÃa del elástico y los gatos están muy contentos y pueden jugar solos, que es lo que yo querÃa. ¡compren 10, ya!

Cat really likes this and is great exercise as she has to jump to reach it. Does get caught over the door from time to time as it bounces back. It has a clip similar to safety clip on collars only more flimsy which pulls apart if cat catches mouse and pulls hard. You can clip it back together so this is good design. After a number of weeks she gives it a go every so often so novelty seems to have worn off a little

Great design! Features a detachable clip to keep the toy safely away to prevent any strangling incident!

Mr Biggles LOVES this toy, as does his sister Zubikins! But a week of chewing and plucking left the poor mouse completely bald… In fact he is just a plastic, rattling, tooth marked shell now! This is not a complaint because let’s be honest, I can’t imagine how you’d create a completely cat proof toy of this sort if it’s very loved and played with constantly…I’m taking the only option available…I’m ordering another one! And trying to think of something I could tie to the old one’s elastic that would be as fun!
