This is a quality bowl with a nice rubber band. My problem with it is that it is very shallow and my big puppy is scattering kibble everywhere! It would probably be better for a small dog.

Stick to using these for food, not water
Though they were promising when ordering them, they feel a little bit cheaply made. They are stainless steel, and reasonably priced, but a couple of issues I have, the rubber grommet on the bottom that keeps it from slipping tends to get chewed on by puppies, so if your dogs chew, be ready to correct them quickly. They dont move around much but when they get a bit empty they tend to slosh outside the bowl.The biggest issue I have with them is that they arent properly cleaned before they are shipped. They smell like diesel fuel through and through, and i’m not talking a little hint of it, i’m talking full on, they probably still have oil and manufacturing lubricant all over them right off the factory. For something that is going to feed and water pets, these need a full on decontamination before their uses. I have soaked mine in anti oil detergent several times, and they still leave my hands smelling like I just pumped gas and got it all over my hands. The rubber bottoms tend to absorb this smell as well.Would I buy them again? probably not. go to your local big box store and get a few of these instead of here where you cant inspect them before buying.

A sturdy dish
This is a great dish. Each dish holds a pint of water, so provides enough water to keep my dog and pup quenched. I use the third dish for food and it easily hold 2 cups. The rambunctious pup can’t lift the dish as easily as he could a smaller one.

Great value for the price & good for my senior dog.
My senior dog seemed to struggle getting wet food out of the corners of her old, standard stainless steel bowls and would often just give up. These bowls are nice because they’re shallow and the sides are rounded. No corners for the food to get stuck in! They look huge, but the diameter of the opening is the same as her old ones, so make sure that’s the measurement you’re going by. The wider base gives added stability.
