Stainless Steel Slow Feeder Dog Bowl– But for Rabbits
This small dog food bowl was intended as a way to keep your dog from gulping down his food, by placing a baffle inside that forces the dog to eat around the baffle.I needed a bowl to provide water for a mother rabbit and her kits (baby rabbits). The kits, when they first leave the nest, are very small, and tend to get into everything that they can climb into– including water bowls. There is a concern that a kit could drown if it jumped into a deep water bowl, so the baffle in the center of this dog bowl effectively prevents that from happening. The bowl is also stainless steel, so it won’t rust and is easy to clean.My only concern is if the Doe (adult female rabbit) will gnaw on the silicone slow feeder insert. So far that has not been a problem.1-1-2025 UPDATE: My worst concerns were borne out… the silicone insert ended up being an attractive item for gnawing after all– so this product turned out NOT to be good for rabbits.
