Excellent Medium pads, plus training advice for first-time dog owners
These Medium pads are excellent for small and medium size dogs. They are absorbent and similar in size to “regular” size dog pads. They have a pale pink edging which is easy on the eye. No scent, thank goodness. I use five to cover my bathroom floor. Not wasteful as she usually uses one at a time, occasionally two. I also use four at another location, covering a spot she was initially having accidents at, especially if she was shy because I was in the bathroom or shower. A second use for the pads is if your dog has an accident on the floor or even carpet, place a pad face down over the puddle, then step on the pad to soak it up. (In the case of the carpet, do repeatedly until it is all soaked up.) I also follow with an enziyme spray to clean any pet or baby smell off of floors or color-fast fabrics. Use for pet or human urine, feces, blood, food spills, grass stains, etc. Good on carpet too, provided the carpet is color-fast. (Test first on inconspicuous area.) For years I used various versions of Nature’s Miracle, but now would only recommend it if you can find a version where enzymes are listed as the first ingredient (after water) on the bottle. Beware if alcohol is the first ingredient! At the moment I use Hepper Pet Stain Eliminator which works great on urine, feces, blood, food etc. A backup product is Bubba’s Enzyme Cleaner (Terminator) but it has a strong smell, whereas Hepper is scent free.Training techniques: 1. On a walk, dip a small spot of a clean pad into your dog’s puddle, then place that pad in the house with other overlapping pads, where doggie is most likely to go next time. Act “joyous” on finding the dog used the pad(s): “Oh my goodness, Buster went potty! What a good boy!” and then give the dog a small treat. This joy-and-treat only applies to the pads, not the usual potty on walks. I have had my rescue dog for eight years now, and she still loves the joy-and-treat ritual. In fact she comes and tells me when she has gone potty by wagging her tail, and then follows me excitedly while I walk down the hall for the joyous “discovery”. She still loves my apparent surprise! 2. Another training technique will only work if your neighbors don’t mind 3-5 days of barking while the training takes place. About 5-6 hours after a walk, put your dog in the bathroom for awhile, checking on doggie until he/she has gone potty on the pad(s) covering the floor. Then follows the joy-and-treat, and being let out again. At first of course the dog has no idea what is going on and may bark or whine for hours. Owner sometimes goes in and is soothing but sticks to plan. After awhile doggie makes the connection and will go potty quickly. After a few days of successes, try leaving the bathroom door open, and hopefully doggie will go there voluntarily when they have the need. It helps too to remind them after 5-6 hours and also at bedtime.Miscellaneous notes for first-time dog owners: Leg-lifting dogs: most figure out not to lift their leg while using a pad. But if you have one determined to do this, protect your walls by putting a couple of “fire hydrants” in place: small paper sandwich bags with a small weight inside on the edge of the pad. Hopefully doggie will eventually get over this habit. My dog doesn’t go on the hydrants any more, but she still uses them to position herself, kind of like parking a car! If you can only throw out the dog pads once per day you might want a trash can with a lid or a diaper pail. Lining it with two trash bags guarantees a tight seal, then throw one bag away daily. Don’t ever punish a dog for having an “accident”. Especially a rescue dog has probably gone through punishment and even cruelty. Just bring them to the accident site (no nose pushing), express disappointment calmly, and then bring doggie to the pad location and stroke the pad saying here is where to go potty. Also if there is frequent urination, leaving only a small spot, he/she probably has a bladder infection and should be seen by a vet ASAP. Doggie is probably in severe pain.

Great size for small breed!
As my chihuahua gets older sheâs gotten a bit lazy going out through her doggy door to the porch where she can go so I opted for trying these pads indoors. I love the x-small size bc it doesnât take up a lot of room on the floor compared to the regular sized pads. She can go on it about 4 times for #1 and its absorbs great, doesnât leak or run through. The 100 pack lasted me about 6 months while using 1-2 pads each week. The color is a bonus!

No Leaking
My dog will not go outside if it is raining. The pads are perfect for those days. I have not experienced any leaking.

Highly Absorbant
Highly absorbant and holds pee well. I’ve been looking for a pee pad in this size so that it fits well in the potty tray that my dog uses. So many pee pads are square sized, which doesn’t fit in the potty tray. So this one fits perfectly for my dog’s potty tray. I’ve been using this for the past 1 year and am very satisfied.

Not working with our training process
Our puppy is constantly missing the pad, and chooses to play with it more than anything. She is definitely a handful!

Love it!
I suffer from poor circulation and swollen legs. This exerciser has been great at distributing the circulation. I also am on a plan to loose weight and need to exercise . It’s been great and doesn’t bother my arthitis
