Pretty Effective
I have a 12lb. dachshund and a 6lb. doxiepoo. This collar is very effective on the older dog (dachshund), cutting her barking 95% of the time. The doxiepoo is 10 mo. old, and is much more persistent with her barking, and works on her 75% of the time. The collar makes a loud, long beep, which the dogs donât like. The second warning to the dog is a vibration. I appreciate the small, light weight size for my small dogs. The batteries seem to last awhile before you have to charge them. Overall Iâm happy with the collar, and like that the dogs arenât getting shocked.

Fits my extra small dogs!
Great fit! Other bark collars I tried were HUGE on my two tiny dogs & too heavy for small dogsâ necks. These are much smaller & fit much better. My 5 lb Miniature Pinscher doesnât seem bothered by this collars size or the size of the bark monitor device. My 7 lb Chiweenie also doesnât mind the size. These have helped to stop their incessant barking when someone enters or leaves our house as well as when another dog walks by. It has several different settings but only one button & was easy to set up. Seems like exactly what I was searching for! It is rechargeable & needs to be charged for two hours prior to first use.

Dog gets used to it. Collar wonât stay sized.
We use this on our yappy female 5 pound miniature dachshund long hair. The strap is a bit bulky for a dog this small but we made it work. I cut off about a foot of excess strap with a hot knife to prevent the nylon from fraying which worked well. The bark prevention effect did not work right away, but in a couple of days, it was noticeably better. She would still alert us, but then would stop the incessant barking that normally accompanied any noise. It worked pretty well for about a month, but then we noticed that it was tapering off as the dog got used to it and now itâs almost useless after 4 months. The collar still works, but our dog has become accustomed to it, and it doesnât deter her anymore. One thing that itâs frustrating is the strap which constantly loosens despite our best efforts using multiple configurations. If the collar worked extremely well we probably just replace the strap or find a way to glue it or fasten it but since itâs not functioning well we will likely give it it away.A few high points include reasonable cost, fast charging time and long periods between charges.

Inconsistent corrections – cannot decide to keep or toss?
I’ve had this unit for about 2 weeks. I cannot decide if I want to keep it or toss it!I was excited to try it on a sensitive 15 lb chihuahua that MUST BARK when exiting the building, sees neighbors outside our fence, if other dogs are playing, etc. He will stop for awhile if I scold him but this has to be repeated enough times he usually outlasts me.The size is great, but it is so lightweight that it often gets out of position. When it’s resting on the side of the neck it is completely ineffective and never goes off. Dog thinks = barking OK. Correction appears to happen at random = random act of violence.Sometimes it is sitting in the proper position, sitting at the bottom center of neck and I see no reason why it is not going off. I let dog out and there’s 30-60 seconds of barking and no correction. Then FINALLY a beep that indicates the collar registered the bark and administered a correction. Sometimes this enough for him to stop. Sometimes he keeps barking through it and there’s another 30-60 period of barking before it goes off again. If it had just gone off immediately it would be way more effective in changing his behavior. As it is, it makes no sense to him why this is/is not happening.Three times it has gone off on him when he’s sneezed. I feel bad for him because he now is conditioned to not like the beep. I don’t think he understands why the collar is beeping/vibrating yet, or how to avoid it, because it is so inconsistent. However he clearly does find it aversive (usually stops what he is doing when it does go off even when it’s just the beep). As far as sensitivity levels, it did nothing at anything below the highest level 5. To test it I can only get it to go off if pressing to my lips while “barking.”One important features to note is that the correction feature is ALWAYS escalating, the tone & vibration are consecutive (not concurrent) so it is not possible for the dog to avoid the vibration if he stops barking when he hears the tone. 2 seconds is a pretty long time for the dog to stop barking and then get the vibration.Work Cycle:1st Trigger: 2s beep2nd Trigger: 2s beep + 1.5s vibration3rd Trigger: 2s beep + 12s vibration4th Trigger: 2s beep + 2.5s vibration5th Trigger: 2s beep + 3s vibrationAfter 5 consecutive triggers, the collar enters a 30s protection mode where it will not activate. Then a new cycle begins.I may try super-gluing a quarter or some other type of weight to it to improve the position to see if that helps with consistency. Otherwise I think this may be tossed after I find a better quality collar.Updated from 2 to 4 stars on 4/18/24 – seller contacted me to offer a full refund. I expect that this product’s performance may vary based on individual device and dog – certainly worth a try to see if it will work for your situation & suggest to contact the seller directly if you encounter issues even if you don’t post a full review.

Works like magic
This worked like magic. No need for shock collars. This stopped my little barker immediately! Only left it on her for less than a hour. Does not bark any more except when she needs to go out. Great product and follow thru from company is fantastic. Stays charged for a long time. Super value!

Only works for short time
Worked for a couple of months. I bought 2 for both my barkers. It worked at first and stopped the constant barking. After about 2 months one colllar doesnât beep anymore so no idea what setting it is on vibrates in occasion and the one that does work the dog just barks anyways, shakes his head from the vibration and continues barking. Over it. Only good thing is they are nice and small for little dogs and holds charge for long periods. But if you have to buy a new one after a few months donât bother.

Works great. Perfect size for small dogs. The rechargeable battery lasts long. The dog doesnât seem to mind wearing it for long periods of time. The barking has definitely reduced significantly since using. Highly recommend.

Overall a great product and works on my two small dogs. I found the collar must be very snug on their necks in order to work correctly. The product works great and I highly recommend it. I have 2 Teacup Maltese that are 10lbs & 6lbs.
