A new favorite
MauMau absolutely loves her Christmas gift. She learned very quickly (she’s a cat of exceptional intellect) how to turn on the toy after it times out. She invariably stares at it for a few moments, then reaches out a paw and applies a gentle bat. Away she goes for three more minutes!
She hopes to one day pin that elusive red dot to the floor. When she does, I’ll be sure to update this review. But until then, the toy will continue to give MauMau immeasurable fun and exercise.

Pretty Good
Two cats and one dog enjoy this toy, however there are a couple things left to be desired by the human. The doggone thing is noisy as all get out, especially on hardwood. Its side ridges make a rumbling sound when they knock it and the motor is just buzzy. Lastly, I wish it were taller, or the “straw” angled less, to make the laser point further from the base. Mine broadcasts the laser in a uniform circle, about one foot away from the base. Doesn’t sound like a big deal but the animals don’t even get to run after it, and the dog can nearly “catch” it at any point in the rotation without having to move his feet.

Loud but loved
Goodness can you hear this little motor going! I’m particularly sensitive to sounds so it may not be an issue for you and if you’re a room away you definitely won’t notice it. I couldn’t bring myself to remove any stars for that because the cats love it and everything else is perfect. It lasts a really long time, gets them playing, and the best thing you can do is set it in the middle of a bunch of other toys. They’ll knock at it as they run about and get going all over again.

They played with this for over an hour, they were obsessed with it. Charge seems to last foe a long time. Easy to use.
