Firm with a good seal
I thought this was a smart idea fitting in the back of a vehicle and grabbed it to check it out.I like that it came with a vehicle plug-in inflator. From completely empty it only takes maybe 30 seconds to fill. Once filled, it’s definitely a firm bed, but I’m sure you could release a little air to make it a little softer. I think the firmness was done on purpose due to it only being a few inches thick so your body stays off the ground. I’m a pretty big guy (6″1ft 250lbs) and no part of me was touching the floor when I laid on it.It seems to be a decently thick material and the filling port seems to seal very nicely. I like that you can unscrew the fill cap to fully release the air and make deflating very quick and easy.The storage bag isn’t anything special. Just a simple nylon bag that has a pull string. I do like that the mattress fits comfortably inside of the bag and I didn’t have to force compress this down and jam it in like many other air mattresses. As long as you decently fold it up, it slides in without any issue.While it would be a little tight, you could definitely fit two people on it. I do also like the inclusion of a cup holder and cell phone holder. Although I would be weary putting a cup in it because any movement would start bouncing/shaking the cup.When filling, I ran into a small issue where the one-way valve for the intake was very snugly secured. I appreciate the good quality and strong seal, however, the air pump did seem to struggle a little bit with pushing the one-way valve open. The first time I filled it, I had to open the port completely and fill through there. Then, once mostly filled, I reinstalled the one-way valve and used my lungs to finalize the last little bit of air. Again, I’m not going to say it’s a con or negative, because I think it’s just a decent build quality. It was just something I took note ofThe only real con, where the pillows. I really wouldn’t even call them pillows. They are very tiny and maybe a slight bit larger than my head. Not a big deal, realistically if I plan on using this I’m going to be bringing a real pillow anyway, but if you were stuck without pillows, I guess you could use them in a pinch. I don’t see them being very comfortable or supportive but I guess they’re technically better than nothing. It would have been nice if they were slightly longer to fit on the bed better.
