TRAIN YOUR BIRD FIRST!!!!
After reading these reviews iâm baffled by how many people are just shoving this on their birds. Your bird is going to try to chew and hate it if they arenât desensitized to the harness and how youâre putting it on. There is a good tutorial on harness training & wing handling by FlockTalk on youtube if you need one.The harness is good, I havenât gotten to the stage of fully putting it on them but i can adjust it perfectly and I donât think they can chew through it that easily. The leash it comes with is great and seems really durable! Excited to try it out.

For a cockatiel
We just tried this for the first time today so I can on review from a first use and with a cockatiel. The harness is really stretchy and I had no issues getting it on my bird birds head and wings but she kept grabbing the lower part of the harness with her feet and it took about 5 minutes to get her feet out long enough to tighten it up enough so she couldnât grab it again. She is friendly but not handled a ton. She is 3 years old and was hatched in my house so she is very familiar with me and she doesnât bite. I think this would be extremely difficult to get on a bird who bites when it doesnât like something. As far as comfortability, it seems fine, my cockatiel hates it and hasnât stopped picking at it but hasnât done any damage and Iâm sure in time she will adjust. Now for the most important part. She is fully feathered and she did spook and take off and this was perfect. The bounce back in the leash is very soft and allows you to reel your bird in while they fly without any jerking or abrupt movements at all. I was actually really impressed.I wouldnât use this on any kind of large or medium parrots who did not have their wings clipped, not even small conures. The material is something that my African grey or cockatoo could easily be through within a couple minutes. If you were out and about even with a Senegal I feel they could eventually chew through this. But any smaller birds who arenât known for aggressive chewing and who are easily handled I think this is great! Especially for the price.

You must get your bird use to this before you can can use it.
I am pleased with the harness even though my bird is not use to it yet. XS will fit my Green Cheek Conure just fine. A lot of complaints about this harness not fitting. Buy the right size and it will fit. If it seems a little tight around the head, stretch out out a little before trying to put it on. If your bird is not use to wearing a harness then you must work with your bird first before putting it on. Don’t expect that your can just throw it on your bird and go. Like anything else you have to make your pet comfortable and introduce the harness slowly. Overall, I am pleased with this product. Patience is a virtue when owning a bird. If you have none, you probably should not own a bird.

Great Design!
Very impressed with quality of the harness and the leash. Both are a stretchy elastic type of material so if your bird tries to fly away it won’t jerk them back, it will give a bit. XS is perfect for my 50 gram lovebird. I don’t think it would fit a budgie (parakeet) or parrotlet. I have a tubby parrotlet, she weighs 38 grams and I think it would hang loose on her. Definitely go off of the weight chart and not the type of bird recommended. I was able to get it on my lovebird for a minute more to gage fit and functionality. I will update with pics here in a few days but wanted to post this because there weren’t many reviews when I purchased mine. I think most issues have to do with incorrect sizing or birds lack of willingness to wear. I’m very happy!!

Ill fitted harness nearly deadly
This harness almost choked or broke my little conures neck. It was tragic and I cried for 30 minutes after! She is still affected by the fear it caused!

If you use it right, itâs great.
This is actually a great harness. I spent WAY more on a name brand and like this one better (surprisingly) the semi stretch is awesome for getting it on! I see a lot of bad reviews and itâs not this harnesses fault. If you donât gradually get your bird used to it and train your bird, then obviously theyâre going to freak out and hate it. I start my bird super young and just let her see it, touch her with it, get her used to her head and wings being touched. She now wears it no problem. I also see âtoo big it too small.â If you get the right size for your bird, that wouldnât be a problem. I like this harness and would order again.

Love the harness, I don’t have to worry about the possibility of losing her. She gets the chance to spend time outdoors and join me for hikes with a single worry. I practically almost bring her everywhere now. Absolutely worth the buy. You just need to practice properly putting on the bird fast and efficiently without stressing them. So now its an easy put on and she’s good.

I don’t recommend it for budgie as you will lose your bird.1- very big as it’s not tie over the shoulders.2- rope very heaven for the budgie3- that part around that you can resize it is too long.
Saeed Kia –
It is hard to tighten it. You should pull the elastic strings which may hurt your bird.I didnât like it.
Ghala –
It is handy I like it but itâs not the best harness you can get medium quality
Theraza –
Not what we wanted. Itâs not a quick clip, itâs a clunky clip which takes too long and bird get fretful.
