It really works!
My 4 cats love it! I didn’t know how they would tolerate it since they don’t normally wear collars, but they don’t mind because they’re having so much fun…for short periods. After a while they get tired of chasing! The collar works fine even if you make it very loose. It is a little hard to latch and is not a “breakaway” collar. I wouldn’t leave it on unsupervised, just in case. There’s a solid light and a flashing light setting. The light points down to the ground so the red dot is always a few inches in front of the cat. The other cats go after the dot in addition to the cat who is wearing it, so group play! It’s well constructed and easy to charge. You plug it in with the detachable USB cord that is provided. Pushing a button turns it on and off. You can also hold it in your hand and use it like a traditional laser pointer. The light is very strong and reaches a far distance. Cat approved!

Fun for kitties
What kitty doesn’t like to chase after a laser light? when you attach that light to a collar, it is self sustained entertainment – at least until the battery dies. The light can be adjusted a little bit, but a greater range of motion would be welcome. Our kitties love chasing after it.

Ok cat toy, but they get bored of it quickly
I really thought our cats would love this as they are crazy laser red dot chasers. And after putting it on them they initially did enjoy it. But the problem is that after a while they got bored with it because the red dot wasn’t moving. Sure it moves when they do, but after a while they stop moving because they get tired and then the red dot also stops. We get much longer play sessions when we are moving the laser dot around as it keeps them engaged.Overall design is ok but the collar would be better if it was a cloth band instead of the formed rubber band. The problem is that the stiffer collar tends to get turned to the side and then the laser is pointing off in a direction they don’t see. Also the laser would be better if it stuck out further. On long hair cats their fur tends to block the laser. The ability to tilt and “aim” the laser seems like an afterthought as it really doesn’t move enough to be that useful.Charging is fine and the battery lasts quite a while so no problems there. It would be nice to have more modes instead of simply on and blink. Maybe a random blink to help keep their attention. Cats don’t seem to be interested in fixed rate blinking lights.

Our Cat LOVES This Toy In Winter When She Is Inside More
Our cat is an indoor outdoor cat. She is usually very busy all spring, summer, and fall, but in the winter, when the snow flies, she gets really full of energy and needs an outlet. We got this toy for that period of time.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a box which has the collar, the charger, and instructions.CHARGINGThis has a MINI USB port, NOT a Type C. Be aware of that in case you don’t have a cable, this comes with one. Don’t discard it. The light will blink slowly until it is charged. It takes a few hours at least, but I usually let it charge over night.ADJUSTThe little light tube can move up or down a bit, so you can get it at the right angle for the cat.ARROWPut this on with the arrow poking up.BUCKLEThe buckle is a bit tricky. It has a ring that you put the end through, but the holes have to line up exactly with the post and a tiny top on it. That can be difficult. If your cat is squirmy, this can be a challenge. Once you get the post through the hole it will stay in place.BUTTONThe button on the bottom turns on the laser. It stays on for 20 minutes. You can also put it on the blinking setting too.DOES THE CAT LIKE IT?Our cat will sit still and study it for a while and the way the laser goes around. Then she will try to chase it and study it more. After the 15 minute mark, she will get a little bored and stop.I will say this, when I call her and show her the collar, she jumps on my lap and holds her neck out so I can put the collar on.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a great toy for our cat we use mostly in the winter time.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This toy is a great diversion for her when she is bored in the winter. It is a great toy and works well.

cool idea executed poorly
First of all, my cats were afraid of it. One is scared of everything, so that probably doesn’t help, but the other two are super brave and weren’t too fond of this product. The laser collar is a seemingly amazing idea; it just needs to be modified a bit. For instance, this product would not work for cats with long fur as the laser would be covered. Also, the laser part sits at a weird angle (there’s a designated top and bottom), either pointing directly at their chin or directly at their paws, both places that would be hard for a cat to see without the collar shifting positions when the cat looks for it. Also, I know this item is intended to be used under supervision, but since it is a cat product, I feel like it would be safest to give it a breakaway closure just in case it gets caught in anything. Not sure id recommend this to anyone, just go with a handheld laser pointer or one that stands alone.

Cat immediately started chasing the light around the house.
Cat approved! My kitty immediately started chasing the little red dot around the house, she understood the assignment. This collar is a hit. It came with a charging cable (micro USB) but you will need your own charging block/adapter to plug the cable into (not a big deal, most of us have a bunch from old phones and such). The collar has two modes for the light, continuous on and flashing. Kitty seemed to prefer the continuous on. There’s a button on the collar that you can use to change it between the modes, as well as turn it off. It’s one press for on continuous, then another for flashing, then a third press for off. Then repeat. I let her play for about 15 minutes, then took the collar off. We’ll do that routine so she doesn’t get too attached to it. Definitely a win!
