great visibility vest 4 camping, kayaking, hiking, etc
i solely bought this to be a visibility vest for my dogs and iâs first camping & kayaking trip. i bought him the biggest size and was able to tighten it enough for it to be just a bit loose on him, heâs 9 months old and around 70lbs right now.. i was able to tighten it even more but it didnât seem comfy on him, however i didnât want it loose just a bit snug. i like that this has four separate clips so you are able to completely separate the front from the back for some kind of emergency. it also has a very nice thin reflective line around the edge of the harness too which was a big relief to me at night time. heâs solid black so if in some way he had gotten away iâd have had hope cars or flash lights wouldâve picked up the harness. this harness is super easy to put on, great structure qualityâ it really feels sturdy & has nice padding for his comfort.i think my favorite things about this is that itâs very bright, served its purpose, gives the dogs full range of shoulder motion and has a small area to put patches on, which i appreciate a lot.me personally, i never recommend using a harness to connect a leash to, many are not escape proof.. (i donât want to take the risk of my dog getting loose) but i donât think this harness would be escape proof, however i wont be testing that, i always recommend using a collar that suits you and your dogs needs but if you decide to connect your leash to the harness there are two areas you can connect to, directly on the back or in front of the harness, and i do believe the way itâs designed can help with choking prevention just cause of where the d rings are located.overall a really great neon orange visibility vest, iâm sure the other colors are just as high quality too! this is a great harness, iâd recommend it to others!

Waited 2 months to review
So, first thing I did was wade through the bad reviews. I have a 30lb Chihuahua Pitbull mix Aurora. She is strong and loves to roll in the grass. I had my worries, but it seemed like the reviews were mostly good, so I bought a bright pink vest for her.So first, the bad:⢠The straps do loosen over time and require readjusting.⢠The clasps are a little difficult to clip onto an energetic pup.⢠Due to her posture, the vest does bunch together on her back from time to time.⢠The stitching shows signs of wear, but has not broken. I don’t know how this will fair for a meatier pup.⢠The biggest thing, the sizing! So originally we got a medium harness and well… That was just way too big. So we reordered, after measuring her collar, chest, abdomen, and back, we went with a small. Now, the small harness fits, however almost to the smallest setting. So keep in mind, petite build medium dogs may need small to extra small. Please measure your dog and use the sizing chart as a guide (not law). Now, on with the good!:⢠I love this harness!⢠It fits comfortably and is breathable for my black furred pup. It doesn’t chafe under her for arms.⢠It provides multiple points for control and containment. The handle is conveniently placed and (so far) is sturdy. The chest ring is a D-Ring, I wonder if an O- Ring would work better here? But it does work, maybe a bit harder for sturdier pups to follow the anti-pull device. And the sturdy anchor ring on the back holds fast when my pup begins to chase the birds around. She is quite acrobatic as well and has put this harness through some unexpected paces. And it holds well when we use the yard or car seatbelt tethers.⢠We got the Pink “Tactical” Harness. The bright pink and reflective edges make her SUPER visible. Especially important at night because she practically disappears in the dark…⢠The Velcro is a good size and decently placed for a few “hands off” and “support animal” patches.⢠This harness is super cheap and if it does break then lesson learned, if not then it’s a fantastic investment.

Attractive vest
I did measure my dog before ordering. She was in between 2 sizes and I chose to size up due to her still growing into her adult size. I love the color and that there’s a handle on the back and 2 leash clips. The vest clips seem strong so she hasn’t been able to pull out of it (yet) like she has with others. She’s very active and energetic. I have only had this vest about 6 days as of today. I constantly have to tighten the straps as they loosen easily on her. Also as early as the second day I noticed threads coming loose along the Velcro patch. I’m hoping those will be the only threads that wear quickly because I want a vest that will be secure for her. Also hope the loose straps are just due to choosing the size up however it fits well when I tighten. I wish it would stay tight longer.

Looks good
Hopefully it works as good as it looks. We just received this harness for my Doberman Pinscher service dog, at 69 lbs the large fit him perfectly. We haven’t used our on a walk yet just got it fitted to him. It’s easy to adjust. The buckles seem very sturdy, it’s easy to put on him. If I notice anything wrong with it I will adjust my rating.

Excellent product
I bought this for my 55 lbs border collie in sz large. I ordered the blue, which is a really pretty sky blue. The quality is great, nice and sturdy. Has a clear pocket for ID, 4 clips that are secure but aren’t difficult to release when you’re ready to take it off your dog. It has a carabiner-type clip, and also the kind that buckles into the seatbelt buckle. It also has velcro areas where I assume you would put labels such as “service dog,” perhaps your dogs name, etc. I don’t need the velcro, but it’s a cool feature. I really like the sturdy handle it has over the shoulder area. I haven’t needed to use it, but it seems like it would be really useful if your dog needs help climbing into the car. I also like the the chest piece is relatively wide, so that, if we’re in an auto accident, the force is distributed over a relatively wide section of chest, rather that the skinny straps of a standard harness. Currently, I’m using it to secure my dog in a bike trailer, which is working out really well.
