Sturdy and attractive
I wanted a shepherd’s pole that was sturdier than the ones at my local garden center. These fit the bill. I ended up getting a total of 6.The company was also very nice and easy to work with. One of the poles had a section where the scoring was skipped. I just wanted a section that was scored, but they sent me two new ones. I’ll definitely buy from them again if the opportunity presents itself.

Seems reasonably sturdy but I havenât tried putting it in the ground yet. However, this pole seems a bit less sturdy though than a shepherdâs hook purchased from a bird store which is a solid rather than a hollow pole. I couldnât find a pole with a double hook at the store and thus bought this one on Amazon. I had a bit of difficulty screwing on one of the pole pieces due to tiny shards of metal remaining on the threads. I was able remove the shards though and with the help of a rubber jar opener screw on the piece.

Nice Set for the Price
I was looking for a taller than average double shepherd’s hook to use to hang a hummingbird feeder and small decorative birdbath, and it had to have a stable base.I only needed one, but this was the only product I could find to fit the bill and it had two in a set, so I bought it anyway and will sell or give the other hook as a gift to someone.The hook assembled easily, since the parts only fit together in one way. The ground stakes at the bottom fit well into the ground and just swivel out.The only part I didn’t like was the top part with the hooks. It was kind of wobbly and didn’t want to stay in position in the top of the pole. I had to pound it a little to set it. The paint finish seems good.Made in China…

Works Great for Creating a Hummingbird Feeder and Swing Station
This double shepherd’s hook is a lovely and functional base for a vintage-style clear glass hummingbird feeder and swing–all purchased from Amazon. The four-prong base of the hook keeps it straight and steady in the ground. My hummers love to alternate between perching on the scroll work of the swing and sipping nectar. I created two stations like the one pictured and have been very satisfied. I would purchase again.
