Premium sisal rope, traditional processing, manual drying
Great replacement to repair the old worn out rope on the cat scratching post / tree, make it like a new ones, save you form having to buy a new one. Also can be used to wrap the legs of the furnitures or anywhere your cats like to scratch. This not only plays a decorative role, but also to avoid the cat’s paw
Make sure of the length that you need, better to have more than not enough. 33FT is only enough to repair some places or a small post, 66FT can be enough to cover a large post. If you have more post to re-rope, you can choose 164 FT
The rope is a bit rough to human, but that’s what the cat likes. If you have catnip, add a cat nip under the rope as you wind it around the support. It drives them crazy and helps stop scratching elsewhere
One order one continuous rope, a well made play ball will come together with the rope. There are several ways to do the repair or DIY scratching post. You can read the methods in the detail of the description. If you meet any troubles while doing the repair, please be free to contact us, we are always ready for you here

Durable FOr Cat Trees
I write this as I am buying this for a second time. I originally bought this to re-wrap a cat tree in 2019, and now, almost 6 years after I re-wrapped my tree, I need to replace it. I’d say that’s a decent durability for a scratcher used every day by my orange cat. Not smelly or greasy, either. I hot glued this to the post and it worked well.

Excellent! Exactly what I needed.
This is exactly what I needed to redo a few poles on my cat tree. It , matches what the original is. I had watched a few YouTube videos. It’s very easy to do. I’m elderly and had no problems. The cat tree is 72″ tall. Saved a ton of money by not replacing it.

Impressed
This was my first time ever actually replacing the rope on the cat tree, normally i would just buy a whole new tree. I didnt quite know what to expect.I bought the 164ft length & I am glad I did. At first im like wow, too much, but as i got to wrapping, i went through it real quick. Took awhile from start to finish, at least an hour. When i first got it, it did stink pretty bad, i let it sit outside, unraveled, for probably about 2 days & it still had a pretty strong odor but I figured I was going to start the project anyways. I feel like the smell did go away as I was working on it.The rope is a tad bit thicker/larger then the previous rope that was originally on the cat tree, so i am hoping that the cats will still use it.Looks brand new now. I am curious to see how long it will hold up, with using hot glue. The two negatives i would say is that with the rope being so long in length i had a hard time untangling the rope, which was super annoying, but it worked out eventually. & the smell when you first open it, which is why i gave 4 stars. As of now, i would definitely recommend purchasing this product. Good quality ðð¼ðð¼Have to see if my cats will use it first. Time will tell.**update: my cat was using it, yay**

Sturdy
My son used this for a project to make cat scratchers, and it held up very well to both hot glue and staples. No real fraying. Has held up to the cats as well.

CAT’S PLAY
Good rope for cats. It doesn’t shred like hemp rope

Great for rewrapping a cat scratching post
I bought this to replace worn out scratching post- he used it right away! Itâs nice and thick/sturdy. Color is perfect- not too light or dark. Great quality and price.

A little thinner than I hoped, color matched, has an odd vinegar smell
Good color match for my existing scratching post that my 2 cats had ripped to shreds over the years. This hemp rope is a bit little thinner than the OEM rope but itâs close enough for cat post use.Iâve wound new rope on cat posts before and you always need a lot more rope than you think. Not sure how you measure to order the proper amount but when the rope compresses together to cover the gaps, it doesnât go as far as youâd like.I used a hot glue gun and spot glued the rope on the ends and about every 10 winds just in case I have to remove and replace this rope down the road. The rope has an mild to medium odd smell like bleach/vinegar. The include user âmannalâ (sic – itâs manual – see photo) included with the rope says the smell is from a âharmless bleachâ used on the rope and the instructions said to leave this rope outside in the sun for 2-8 days. I wanted to get the job done so I skipped the âraisin treatmentâ for the rope. The odd smell caused me to spot patch the scratching post rather than rewind the whole post. The actual âmannalâ paperwork itself was damp and equally stinky. I left the remainder of the rope in a metal cabinet in my shop. After a few weeks in the cabinet, the rope still stinks like vinegar/bleach.Overall, this rope worked as intended. I thought about a 1 star deduction due to the smell, but once I installed the rope on the scratching post, the smell was not noticeable. Hope that helps!

Sturdy rope but has an odd snell
Redid my catâs scratching post but after 2 weeks it still has an odd smell that is kind of like new tires and my cat wonât use it. Iâve tried rubbing catnip on it but she still turns up her nose at it. I hope sheâll get over it but I may have to invest in a new scratching post. This is the second time Iâve recovered it and did not have this problem the first time.

El grosor de la cuerda es perfecto. Antes tenia uno mas delgado y mis gatos se lo acabaron de inmediato

I ran out of the rope I was replacing my catâs scratcher with and ordered this. The parts I used this rope in got mold.

It seems like a good quality sisal (Iâm no expert). Youâll want to use gloves to work with it if you have really sensitive skin. There was a bit of smell when I unwrapped the roll, but not so much that it lingers on the cat tower once itâs wrapped. And the sisal wasnât rolled in such a way to make it easy to work with. I had to cut the cords and untangle the whole thing and rewrap it in a ball to be able to wind it around the tower posts more easily. It was a slightly different colour than the original sisal on my particular cat tower (I donât care about that, but some might). It was also a different thickness than the original (again, Iâm not worried). It doesnât go as far as you might think it will. I got one full post wrapped, about a foot and a half tall, and reused the old sisal bits from that post that were still in fairly long sections to rewrap part of the second post that was shredded, and then had enough new sisal to wrap the top of a third post that was shredded. Very rough estimate would be about two feet of height on a 3-3.5â post.Worked well enough for what I needed.
