BEST distraction-snack ever!
This is a great snack toy to bring on an outing, where you’ll need your puppy to have something to do.My 6 month old puppy is pretty good when we go to pubs (outside), but she gets restless fast & wants to engage with her entire environment. Regular food or treats won’t keep her attention, even bully sticks sometimes won’t do. But this cheese puff is amazing! She absolutely loves it, and it takes a while to gnaw the cheese puff out of the plastic holder.Plastic seems very durable, she chews it (but she’s not a super-chewer). The use is very simple. One thing I’d advise: once you take it out of the microwave, put it somewhere the dog isn’t – the smell drives my dog crazy.My dog is about 24lb, small-ish, and the toy is a good size for her. She did not react poorly to eating the cheese cube (she doesn’t normally get cheese, but she does gnaw on the larger yak cheese sticks). I do not giver her more than 1 week, maybe 2 (I have other distraction toys too).One thing to consider: you’ll have to buy refills (but not too expensive)

I purchased two of the cow shaped ones for my pups. When I first looked at the cheese that came with it, I said there is no way that this hard nugget is going to puff up, but to my surpise it did. The nugget didn’t have a smell to me anyway, but a light cheese smell once microwaved. My female pup was extremely happy with this cute cow right away and started working for her cheese reward. My male pup was a little leary of the cow, but on the second try and after watching his sister enjoy the cow the first time, he figured out the cow was a friend and loves his cute cow too! These are easy to use and a great size. I have one large and one medium size pup amd this cow works great for both of them. The boy pup makes his last a bit longer, but my female pup is a super chewer. All in all, they have great entertainment with the cows and I would recommend them to others. I will be getting one for my sister and her pup!

Very disappointed!
I was excited to try this product as my dog loves yak cheese and I thought this would prolong the cheese. It took nearly a week to arrive. Tried it one time following the directions exactly and gave it to my dog when it was cool. When he was done I picked back up to discover it had burned inside the microwave! The outside is melted and the inside is melted as well meaning my dog likely swallowed bits of this material. He vomited soon afterwards but seems fine now. Not pleased at all. Poor product and potentially dangerous, really disappointed.

My doggi loves this – need fresh nuggets!
My Pomeranian absolutely loves this I initially thought it was really too big for such a small dog. But she managed it really well. As a small dog, the rubber of the toy has really held up well and it is flexible enough for her to be able to get her jaw and teeth in there and chip away at the insides.A couple of tips for people and why I am giving this 4 stars. Itâs borderline 5 for me though.I feel the yak cheese nuggets that come with the toy donât work that great. The first one was fine but the rest didnât really puff up in time for the inside of the nugget not to be burnt. And then it is hard as a rock. And my doggo couldnât really work with it because of this. You really need to stand there and watch it puff up to not let it burn annd get super hard. It is anlso super hard to get out of the yeti if that happens too. Each nugget is going to take a slightly different time as they are not completely uniform.After we finished the 4 nuggets that came with the toy I moved on to a fresh bag with new nuggets. The first one puffed up amazingly perfect and quickly. It was the perfect texture and it kept her busy for quite a while because she was able to consistently chip away at it, it kept her interest.So, bottom line is I think this a great toy but the nuggets that come with it may not be fresh enough to work well. They worked well enough for me to know that I wanted to keep using it but the difference between the refills (which I assume are fresher) and what comes with the toy was night and day.

I LOVE this for a think toy!
I watched a gal who used this on TikTok and with a high energy dog who is picky I needed something to keep her stimulated. She loved Yak chews but they always worried me a bit with how hard they are. While it took her a bit to get used to it (there must be something with the smell of microwaved yak chews verses hard), she loves it and it keeps her stimulated and distracted when needed.I soaked mine in warm water for a bit before microwaving it and it worked perfectly, I will be using ends of old yak chews in it as well as buying new ones and chopping them up to make âpuffsâ. Well worth it!

Great alternative to Kong. Makes a light crunchy Yak milk treat that my dog loves and which is not messy like peanut butter or squeeze cheese. Won’t get all over furniture while dog plays with it. If it does – it’s crumbs you can vacuum up.Put treat in belly of toy Yak. Microwave toy for 1 minute (treat puffs up in size to fill hole in belly of toy). I like to put in freezer for 2 minutes after microwaving it bc the treat can be quite warm. He loves it! He gets healthy crunchy treat, a puzzle, and chew toy.Everytime I ask if he wants his “Yeti” (his first toy was a Yeti when we reordered we got this one – a Yak, but same great company!) he comes running. He is a chewer and his first toy survived his big chew years – age 4mos to age 2 before he finally chewed through the bottom part. We were very happy with the quality so we reordered. We got the Yak this time because he seems to like orange toys better.For reference our dog is a 70lb Catahoula Leopard dog and a good chewer so this toy does take a beating. Ours has learned that if you drop it from a height it loosens the treat – so is gentler on it now than he was at age 6mos, but still gives it some punishment. It is sturdy. Fun toy for dogs who like to chew.

Within 5mins of giving this to my small dog he had chewed off bits of plastic from the foot of the yeti. Itâs not a robust toy & may harm a dog if they bite off a chunk of the plastic to then ingest it. I wouldnât recommend this for any dog.
