WOW!!!!!!! Calmed our “non-groomable” giant semi-wild livestock dog down in seconds!
If I could give these grooming gloves 20 stars I certainly would! We have divided sheep flocks in several different locations, plus a lot of wild predators, and thusly need to keep very large unsupervised livestock guardian / predator protection dogs on our homestead. The catch with Great Pyrenees semi-wild giant dogs (120 to 150 pounds for our male dogs) is although they love to be petted, they absolutely hate to be groomed in any way. These gloves arrived just today, and I tried them on our most problematic working dog first⦠and he was just thrilled when I petted him all over with them! He didnât even notice the clouds of fur swirling all around us while I used these gloves on him for the first time, he was just so thrilled when I first patted and then petted him all over for more than five minutes. Last time I approached him with a simple brush he lunged with all his teeth bared, scared me half to death, although most unsupervised working dogs are known for that behavior⦠but he just loved being rubbed all over with these grooming gloves, clearly thinking that heâd done something very, very wonderful to deserve so much attention. It will probably take a week for me to get his fur out of my own hair, it was in fact a very messy job, but I am absolutely thrilled to have found such a gentle and enjoyable solution to his nearly psychotic fear and hatred of âforeignâ (in his mind) grooming implements of any kind. These gloves really worked tonight! Iâll dare trying them on our more laid-back (yet perhaps more dangerous although mostly friendly) senior Lead livestock dog tomorrow with confidence. TWENTY STARS for these gloves (although only five are allowed by Amazon)!

These grooming gloves work really well, especially on our very furry lab. After 2 minutes stroking him with both gloves on, a small trash basket was overflowing with the “harvest” – Wow! These are very gentle and the knobs do not hurt the animal, he loved being brushed! They do have knobs on back of hand and in the palm area, that’s a big advantage. I do not understand the difference in price between green and orange, when I ordered the green they also were just $12, but now they are $17.
