Customers find the pet feeder easy to clean and dishwasher-safe. It works well to slow down food intake and is a nice size for larger dog breeds. However, some customers find it floppy and difficult to keep in place. There are mixed opinions on the material quality.

3 Newfoundlands 3 Bowls
I had the typical plastic slow food bowl for my 2 Newfoundlands. I noticed the corners of the bowl were chewed. That can’t be good for their teeth. This bowl slowed them down when eating. It is flexible and dishwasher safe. It isn’t non slip and they sometimes end up moving around. I would rather have that and know their teeth won’t be hurt. We have had two of the bowls for about a year and no issues and only good things to say. Well our 3rd Newfoundland who is very picky started to eat too fast so we bought him a bowl. He loves it.

Great for any dog.
I have a black lab that eats do fast and he can get choke with his food. After trying this rubberized bowl the solution was set for good. She eats slow now and I believe itâs healthier.

Way too floppy to move.
This bowl is fine if you put it on the ground and then add food, but if you have multiple bowls to pre-fill and then hand out, then this thing is annoyingly floppy. You have to pick it up and hold it with both hands or it basically folds in half and dumps the food everywhere. Wish it had a solid base.

Finally found the one! Perfect for large dogs!
Most silicon slow feeders are just to small or have low sides, causing my boy to lick the food right out of the bowl. The larger hard plastic kind are just to hard on his mouth. This is probably the best one I have bought yet! 10 out of 10! Great quality, and seems vary sturdy! Perfect design too!

Worked like a charm
Our dog was eating his meals in 30 sec, using this bowl we have been able to get him to slow down significantly, to almost 5 minutes. This was exactly what we were looking for! Would highly recommend this for dogs who eat too quickly.

Material flimsy
Very flimsy which makes this product not work in more than one way. First of all my dog could easily move all of the things in the middle of the bowl that were supposed to slow him down so it didn’t slow him down at all. And secondly if you have a large breed puppy especially one that is teething this is a bad idea my German shepherd just ripped it to shreds. We remove bowls from kennels too after eating but even if it was only in there a few minutes after he was done eating he would bite chunks of it off and attempt to eat them. So no I do not recommend. Get a hard plastic slow feeder they actually work and the one I bought to replace this one my pup hasn’t been able to chew up!

Not for my dog.
This bowl is a nice size for a larger dog breed and holds plenty of food. However, my dog figured out this pattern so quickly that it was basically pointless. I wish this was ceramic or hard plastic. I feel he eats so fast and being a big dog he is just able to use his tongue to push the ridges over and get into the bowl easier. Only slowed him down for 3 meals, then he had it figured out. For reference he is a boxer/coon hound mix and about 80lbs. I like the bowl, it just doesn’t work for my dog.

Awesome for âenthusiasticâ eaters!
I had my dog using a plastic slow feeder for years and it put some wear on her bottom teeth because she eats so fast and aggressively she slams her bottom teeth against the bowl. I made the mistake of trying a ceramic slow feeder and that made her teeth much worse. But this bowl is amazing! Slows my dogâs eating down drastically and doesnât damage her teeth. My dog does push it around on my tile floor very easily but that doesnât bother me. Itâs also fairly easy to hand wash. Havenât tried washing in the dishwasher yet. Will update when I do!
