Well worth the effort… AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE
Let me start off by saying that it has been a rollercoaster ride with this mattress. Okay, so why the 5 stars, you ask? Well, I will tell you why.When it arrived, everything was great. It was packaged well. Vacuumed sealed so tight I didn’t think it would ever unroll right. I gave it the full 72 hours to inflate. That’s when the problems occurred.At 75 hours, the mattress had barely inflated to 8 inches. For reference, I bought the 10-inch. And I know sometimes that the measurements can be a bit off, so I considered it my fault for being such a cheap arse and not forking out for the 12 or 14. My reasoning: I was gonna get a topper at some point and I don’t want to be like Princess and tf-ng Pea in a room with a low ceiling.I waited another day. Measured again. No sign of movement. I tried to contact the seller and, well anyone who has tried doing anything on Amazon knows how wonderful that is. Instead of giving me the seller, it sent me ring around the rosy with processing a return. I cannot tell you how many times I made it clear that I did NOT want to send it back and I did NOT want a refund. I only wanted help in trying to resolve this issue myself. I felt it was something that could be fixed. If it came to it, then we could talk about credits or refunds.This went on for over an hour. I finally managed somehow to be taken to the manufacturer’s website and, once again went through the drama of “No, I don’t want to return it and I don’t want a refund. I just want help.” I finally reached a human being at some point. A person by the name of Maverick contacted me and suggested I set the mattress on the floor and roll around or walk on it a bit. Apparently, sometimes the memory foam doesn’t want to decompress all the way. These actions tend to help.I wrote back to him every time there was movement. 9 inches. 9.5 inches. I was so excited the day after my roommate slept on it that it got all the way up to 10 inches inflated! I immediately fired off a note to Maverick to let him know and to thank him for the suggestions.He was patient and told me exactly what needed to be done and why. It never even occurred to me that sometimes memory foam just “be that way” and you have to sort of give it a boost.All that said, I’ve been sleeping on it now for about a month. It’s probably the most firm memory foam I’ve ever owned, and I probably could have done well with one a bit squishier, but this is fine. I got exactly what I ordered. I’m not gonna complain about that.I don’t see any evidence of fiberglass, as mentioned in another review. Of course, I don’t ever intent to remove the protective cover and will instead have one on top of it at some point.It being several inches more shallow than other mattresses I’ve owned, let me just tell you know… it puts them to shame! My previous mattress, same brand, was a 12-inch and not nearly as firm. It had edge issues where you’d fall to the floor if you weren’t careful. I don’t see that being an issue with this one. It’s fairly sturdy sitting on the edge and I imagine that if I had access to the corners they would be the same #sleighbed. And my previous mattress, you could feel the metal slats underneath every freaking time you turned. It was awful. I had to put sheets of plywood down to keep from being gored in the night. With this mattress though?? I don’t feel a dang thing. Granted the slats on this bed are wooden and not metal, even when I pounce on the bed, I don’t feel a thing – just snuggliness.I’m waiting for my bed to break if I do that again though – for reference, I’m about 345lbs. Do you have any idea what that does to a bed if you just pounce on it like a lion on the Serengeti? Apparently, nothing (knock on wood). The mattress absorbs the impact. I would be confident with dropping an egg from a skyscraper onto this mattress. That is how awesome it is.It didn’t have any sort of weird odor when I removed it from its wrapping. The only thing that sort of made it difficult to get any help was that the date of manufacture was missing from the tag when I was trying to get assistance from the manufacturer. If anyone has to deal with that, just take a picture of the tag anyway to prove that it is blank. It’ll help you out in the long run.If I’m ever in the market for a mattress again any time soon, I am definitely purchasing this one – as long as it’s available. I can sleep at night. It doesn’t aggravate my low back pain or even my hip pain. I’m actually grateful it isn’t as squishy as I would like because then my problem would be never wanting to get out of bed. Heck, even with my weight (when lying down) I barely sink into the mattress. And at least now I can wake up in the morning and go about my day without feeling as though my body has been hit by a truck and all I want to do is stay in bed. Very happy with this purchase!

Most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned
I purchased the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen size. It has three different layers of foam and is not a hybrid model. First is the 4.5″ high-density base support foam, next is the 1.5″ comfort foam, and on top is the 2″ gel-infused memory foam. This is the first foam mattress I’ve ever owned, and I’ll never go back to using the old box spring mattresses I’ve had all my life. The first night I slept on it with only a single sheet covering over the mattress and I was stunned by how nice and comfortable it feels compared to everything I’ve ever slept on before. The second day I installed the SafeRest Queen Size Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector, which is quite thin as it’s a mattress protector and not a mattress “pad.” I noticed no difference in how it feels in any way with this addition after using the bed all day and sleeping for 8 hours the second night. I believe it’s so comfortable because of how your body sinks down into the foam slightly which supports your mass more uniformly than other surfaces âcan. Don’t get me wrong about this, it’s still a quite firm mattress so it’s not like you sink way down into it. I wish there was some way I could better express just how much I love my new Zinus mattress!!! This is like sleeping on a cloud! I’ve read some negative reviews about people who’ve removed the cover that comes on the mattress to wash it or for whatever reason and then went nuts complaining about loose fiberglass fragments they encountered afterward. I believe the tiny amount of fiberglass material built into the cover is part of the fire-retardant material that makes up the cover. I also believe the warning the manufacturer gives about not removing the cover is their way of being over-cautious about the possibility of customers coming into contact with fiberglass fibers if they do so, and anyone who has removed the cover has NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES for any problems they encounter for failing to follow the manufacturers instructions. I haven’t removed the cover on mine but I did open the zipper about 12″ so that I could stick my bare forearm inside and rub it around to see for myself if there really was loose fiberglass fiber but I didn’t notice any indication of this at all. My recommendation if you ever feel the need to remove the cover to wash it or whatever is remove the cover, deflate the air out of it and then CLOSE the zipper (without turning it inside out) and then arrange it around the center post of your washing machine. This will ensure the inside and outside of the cover won’t come into contact with each other. Wash on a delicate setting, no bleach, then after removing it from the washing machine don’t put it in the dryer, just lay it out on the floor to dry before putting it back on. The first picture was taken just 5 minutes after removing the mattress from the box and it’s a full 7″. 36 hours later it had expanded to the full 8″ as can be seen in the second picture. After about 36 hours it was fully expanded and was very smooth and flat with square edges, and it looks almost perfect in every way. I have no idea how long this mattress might last, but after paying only $200 plus $18 in sales tax with free shipping it’s easy and cheap enough to replace. I’m still using my old bottom box frame but since the distance between the support slats is a full 6″ on my old base, I show in the third picture how I installed (with a few screws) some pieces of 1/4″ plywood to the top of it for better support for the foam mattress. I simply bought and installed 3 pieces of 1/4″ plywood at 24″ x 48″. I needed to cut the width of one piece for the foot end of the bed down 4″ so that the plywood would break over the supports slat of the old box base. If you choose to follow my example you may need to modify this to some extent depending on the spacing of the support slats of your base.

Amazing for the price
I did weeks of research before deciding on this mattress. Theyâve made changes to it since the lawsuit, and no longer use fiberglass. Now they have a carbon/rayon sleeve to protect from fires. So 90% of the critical reviews here arenât directed at anything that is currently relevant.Pros: not overly hard or soft, no smell, and Iâve had zero issues with sagging or indentations after a few months of sleep.Cons: Itâs not quite a true 8 inches, more like 7.25. And it probably wonât last more than 2-3 years max. But thatâs perfect for what it is.If the price stays below 200, Iâll absolutely buy it again in a couple of years. If it goes over $200, Iâll opt for an expensive mattress from elsewhere instead, as the time and cost of replacement every 2-3 years would no longer be worth it.

Bed is extremely FIRM
I do not want to give a negative review. I tried to read reviews prior to purchasingâ¦there were several people that said mattress was firm. However, they also said that you âget used to itâ. We have had this mattress for 3 months now. It is In our camper so we only sleep in it 2-3 nights a week right now. We will be transitioning to full time â¦I will need to purchase a softer topper or new mattress all together at that point. I was going to return it but the process is much to difficult, due to the size of the item! With that being said. Packaging is nice, arrived perfectly and rather quickly. Looks nice, fabric is soft. Mattress appears very well made. It is just too firm for me. I wake up sore. I am hoping that this review helps someone. If firm well made mattress for a great price is what you are looking forâ¦look no further. But if your old bones need something a bit softer⦠keep looking.

I kept seeing reviews about people saying “wow, what a sleep” or “I don’t know how I slept on my old bed” or “BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE!” and I was like “yeah yeah… ok paid reviewer… sure sure!”Folks, I am here to tell you that they are in fact… 100 % correct!No shill BS here. I bought my bed with my own money and apart from this review now, Zinus doesn’t know I exist.This bed is honestly life changing. I have some big mental health issues I’m dealing with and the part of my day that I know I will truly have relief is knowing that I have this stupendous bed to recharge in. From a quick cat nap when I’m feeling low during the day to a SOLID 7 hours sleep at night… this bed is like a human-charger. I’m actually finding myself getting emotional because for so so soooo many years I’ve had a terrible night sleep. With my medical issues I have a lot of chronic pain, anxiety, depression and only getting a couple hours straight sleep at a time does NOT do anything to help those issues. This bed changed all that and I’m so grateful to have taken the plunge and purchased the bed.I see so many reviews of people pouring on and on about the best sleep but it’s true. For me at least, I came from a traditional pocket spring pillow top and box spring. I saw some reviewers say there’s an adjustment period when you come from a traditional bed to foam. I didn’t have that at all. Sure it felt strange with how little motion was transferred and how silent it was when rolling over, but there was no negative “oh jeez… this is going to take some getting used to” like I expected. I just layed down, and within minutes I was out like a light and stayed asleep all night. No mid-night awake for a bit and then hopefully right back to sleep. Just solid 7 hours in one shot.After 15 years my old bed had seen it’s best days and perhaps it was a part of why the sleep wasn’t good but looking back, I don’t think that I ever did get a great nights rest on it. It was plush and was decent compared to a non pillow top but this foam… omg…Ok I promised I wasn’t going to “wall of text” and just repeat what others have said but even after 2 nights sleeps on it, I know this is going to be a life long change in my life to always sleep on a bed like Zinus has here. Just buy it. It’s an amazing price (at least time of writing this review) and it arrives fast. There was no adjustment period and honestly no negative. My whole bed with platform frame, headboard and under-bed storage costed less than a middle of the road traditional matress alone. I will never go back to one. Bought the 10in KingI read a lot of reviews and was really hesitant before buying this mattress. First of all there was no smell at all when unpacking this. It inflated in a few minutes but we didn’t use it for the first 2 nights. It did firm up during that waiting time and I suggest to everybody to wait like we did.First impression was that it feels a bit weird when you lie down on it for the first time. It feels hard at first and then you slowly sink into the top gel layer. It then conforms to your body and you will sink around 2 inch deep. If you move, the imprint of your body will stay there for like 15s and then totally disappears. This also feels weird at first.Once you get used to it is actually quite supportive and comfortable. The very first night, both me and my gf slept super well and have been sleeping well for the 2 weeks we’ve had it so far. It doesn’t feel particularly hot as most people suggest memory foam normally does. I slept on my back, my side and my stomach and all 3 positions felt fine. Note that I do have an easier time sleeping on my back than I used to with this mattress.For the price, if this mattress lasts me around 5 years, I will be quite happy.

– I have bought this on Nov 2021 and I am writing the 2 year review.- Quality is nice for what you pay for. Comes in a box, bear in mind that to check weather before ordering as box is heavy and you don’t want to go out on a wet day and have to drag it from outside especially if you are living in apartment. Mine came in during snowy day, my hands were freezing while moving the box inside.- As soon as opened, mattress was starting to inflate and in almost 12 hours, it was ready to be slept upon.- Mattress is firm and it had given me good sleep as I usually sleep with my stomach on mattress. After certain time, mattress became soft so I had to switch the side I was sleeping on.- Mattress reduces the firmness over time and you have to constantly switch the mattress around for firmness.- All in all, great product and so far I am happt with my purchase. I haven’t paid baziilian amount of money for good sleep and Probably that is also one of the factor I am enjoying my sleeps.ð
