Last year, my dog, Koconut and I’s first summer together, I discovered that he LOVES the water. He especially loves to fetch balls thrown way out into the waves from shore, to the point of complete exhaustion. I decided it would be wise to buy him a life vest. However, because I’m so extra, I wanted one that was SUPER cute, functional enough for both of us to feel comfortable with him swimming anywhere, and that also fit his strange german shepherd-Pitbull proportions (slender torso, short back, wide shoulders, stubby neck, super broad chest). The first two Amazon brands I tried made life vests that were cute and functional, but either too big or too small (rubbing against his manhood or unable to close across his chest). One’s strap also began to fray and break with all the rough water play. After trying two different sizes (L, XL) across two different Amazon brands, with no success, I was ready to give up. The first two brands I tried were visually identical to this one (grey, velcro/snap buckle, shark fin, for big dogs) and I didn’t think the only remaining brand of shark fin life vests could be that different or any better than the first two. The Queenmore jacket was also more expensive than the other two by almost $10!BUT BOY, WAS I WRONG!!!!I am excited to share that this vest not only met, but EXCEEDED my expectations! It comes in so many cute styles & colors, and a size for every dog, so summer fun in the water is open to all! The velcro closures make it easy to get on my dog’s body, while the snap buckles help keep it securely in place for my peace of mind and my dog’s safety. I did end up getting the XL because while the L fit his chest, the velcro wouldn’t fasten under his body. So as a result, I do have to cross the chest straps over one another to make the neck hole smaller. I don’t mind doing this, because he’s still secure and it doesn’t look bad. Dogs with regular proportions, should be fine, but if your dog is in between sizes, I’d recommend sizing up. The vest is SUPER lightweight, compact enough to be stored under the backseat of my SUV for impromptu swimming sessions, and my dog’s range of motion is uninhibited when he wears it.The best part, however, has to be how children and adults alike are DELIGHTED when they see him. “THERE’S A SHARK IN THE WATER,” they all cry with joy and laughter! Many other dog owners have asked where I got it from because of how secure and comfortable it looks on Koconut. He loves the attention he gets in it too, and personally, I think it helps make him look less “scary” as an “aggressive breed.”Lastly, the fin stays mostly upright, but it does have the tendency to flop to the left a little when soaked. Nothing a few little wire or plastic reinforcements can’t fix, for my crafty people!All in all, I’d give this vest a 9/10! Would HIGHLY recommend!Update:I guess it was SO cute that the neighborhood thieves noticed too. 🙃 It got stolen from my front yard while it was drying. 😒 Purchasing another and holding onto it like a prized possession. 😤

Such a well made life vest!!!
We use this at the pool and even at the beach and it’s so well made and very easy to wash and clean. Love the bright colors and the little shark fin. We got so many compliments at the beach asking where we got this. Five starts as there is no complaints and follow the size guide as it was perfect fit!! Great price as well!

Listen up, landlubbers! Ever since my human strapped me into this Queenmore Dog Life Jacket Ripstop Shark Vest, I’ve been feeling dangerous. I mean, I always knew I was top dog, but now I’m basically a land-shark in training. I strut into the water and suddenly everyone’s looking at me like I’m Jaws—just a cooler, furrier version.This vest isn’t just about looking like a predator, though. It’s got serious buoyancy at an excellent cost! I used to flail around like a confused seal, but now? I’m gliding like a boss, fins up and tail wagging. Honestly, I feel so cool, I might start demanding theme music every time I wade into the water.If you want your dog to go from ‘cute pup’ to ‘fearsome water beast,’ easily strap one of these on them and watch the transformation. I’m still me, but with a shark vest on, I’m dangerously cool. I’m also a big shark and the vest size fit great. So beware, fish. Beware.

Our corgi pup really looked adorable in her shark life jacket! Loved that it has strong velcro straps along with the buckles giving that extra security. She jumped in the water a couple of times and we were able to pull her out easily with the handle on top of the vest. Really a great buy! Our corgi puppy is 20lbs and the small size was perfect, with room for her to grow a little more into it.
