Perfect fit
My 2nd try trying to find one that fits. I bought the small for my 10# Shichon. His neck was 11″, his chest was 16″ and his back was 11″. One other brand I bought extra small going by their girth measurement but the neck was way too small. Looks like it will float well. Straps for adjustment and a band to tuck any excess into. Love the color.

I tried a few different vests for my13-14 pound Schipperke and they all had a fatal flaw: they weee much too long on the bottom torso! Not only do I find this a poor flotation design, my dog couldnât even sit down in a couple! She didnât have full-range motion in her back legsâcertainly not without chafing. This Zooland best is balanced for upright floatation, a great color for visibility, has a perfect handle for lifting her out of the water, and perhaps most importantly, my dog can sit, lie down, swim and walk/run easily in it! This is the one!

Life vest for dog
I bought this in a small for our doxy who is about 10 lbs. This is a very good life jacket. This is the third jacket Iâve bought. The first was great but just got old and worn.The second (I tried a completely different jacket) came too far back, it had to be removed when the dog needed to potty. Obviously this wouldnât be a problem if you have a female dog. We had lots of problems with that second jacket.This jacket works perfectly. It is sturdily made. And this fabric doesnât seem to get him as hot as neoprene like fabric of his second jacket was. It stays in place well too. Thatâs why buy a life preserver. The handle provided on the back makes it very easy to load him off and on the boat as heâs too small to jump up there.

Handle is great to pull dog back onto boat/platform, etc. Fits well and my 8 pound dog loves it – can’t keep dog from jumping off boat. Very well constructed.

Quality of the life jacket.
To me having the velcro on the underbelly I feel would be much more comfortable for the dog. I had a similar life jacket for 70 pound dogs. And has lasted since 1969 and still going.With this life jacket however, it will need repair after one trip. So get one with a velcro underbelly, but maybe not this one for quality.
