Great for drying golden retriever hair!
I ordered this about 3 months ago, looking for a professional style hairdryer for myself.Iâm not crazy about it for myself, but man, it dries my golden retrieverâs heavy, thick hair coat quickly!Pros:1) it is lightweight. Feels good in your hand, easy to hold2) it has a REALLY powerful, yet remarkably quiet motor!3) the round (barrel) cord is easy to handle & doesnât tangle easily.4) the air vent seems easy to clean (thatâs a mega bonus for me)Cons:1) its super powerful motor blows my thin, fine hair to wild to be able to style it. Someone with really thick hair might really like this, and for them it would be a BIG pro!2) the diffuser diffuses too much (too little air comes out), making it near worthless. But Iâm not a big diffuser user. Also, the diffuser attaches with magnets 𧲠which seems like it is a good idea. But the diffuser is too heavy & kept falling off while I was using it.3) the air intake is on the handle. I did not notice this until I purchased it, but can see it in the pic, looking back. When I used this, my hand kept covering the air intake (being on the bottom of the handle, afterall), which made me concerned I would block airflow & burn out the motor quickly.Overall, this hairdryer does not work well for my personal hair. But when I used it on my golden retriever, he barked at it for a bit, then tolerated it. May have even enjoyed the air (think: head out the window of the car). I stood outside of his playpen (3 feet away from dog)& held it on him for 10-15 minutes, which almost completely dried his hair!!Is a DOG hairdryer worth almost $100? I will let you decide.ð But I kept it, just to use on my dog!! ð
