Small
Iâd say it is sturdy enough but not too sturdy. I took my cat to the vet earlier today and the way she wobbled in there gave me my answer. The zipper works and is easy to open and close. Itâs definitely smaller than I thought but not too small. Itâs easy to adjust straps and easy to carry. The padding at the bottom isnât much and doesnât seem too comfy so I would add some extra padding!

It was returned in perfect conditions but the seller refund me only part of the value that I spent to buy this bag. Thatâs okay, but I wasnât expected that.

I didnt write a review until years later because you never know with these things. This works well and I still use it it’s perfect for my white baby. It’s sturdy. It’s easy to transport. It’s worth every cent. It’s comfy for me and him. And most of all easy to use.

Not as big as expected but works
My sphynx is 7.8lbs and fit well in this but my fluffy Norwegian Forest cat is 12lbs and is crammed in there so Iâd say maybe 10lbs is the max comfortable limit but thatâs probably pushing it.Zelda (sphynx) loves it though and we leave it out and with the side door open so she can play in and out. Sheâll âhideâ in it and swipe at our dogs and cat when they come by, or just carry toys in and sit. Itâs really nice for cat rides because she prefers to see me when riding in the car so I have to angle normal carriers just right or she cries. Sheâll just sit and relax in this and keep an eye on me and everything else around her.Bo (Forest Cat) absolutely hates it and that picture was taken at great protest and caused lots of yelling afterward from him. Itâs not for every cat, especially if you have to cram them in there like that.Itâs sturdy and well made so far and has survived multiple cat tussles on and around it, and a clumsy 100lb Lab falling on it a few times (luckily without a cat in it).After lots of looking this was the biggest I could find on Amazon or anywhere with the full clear front so Iâll probably grab another 1 or 2 to be sure I have one when this inevitably starts to show age and wear.

A Really Good Backpack! Not for fat cats
It is a really solid and sturdy backpack! The thick acrylic plastic does get scratched up though, so if aesthetics are important to you, then spend the extra energy to make sure that it doesnât get scratched up or scuffed.I bought this backpack in 2020 and only used it a handful of times with my first cat. Right when I was conditioning her to become an âadventure catâ I had to put her down unexpectedly. I just adopted a new kitten and am finally getting some use out of this backpack again. Poppy Seed, my orange baby, never had a problem with this and would regularly sleep in this when given the chance. My current baby, Carrot Cake, is still getting used to it, but after a few minutes of protest from her, she eventually settles in and will even go to sleep.The backpack, while not exactly small, isnât very large either. And it is definitely not for fat cats that are overweight/obese or for cat breeds that are larger. Poppy was 8 pounds, and my current kitten is 4.5 pounds. I would not put a cat over 10 pounds in this carrier as it can get rather cramped in there for long excursions.While it was a really good backpack to have, I will be ordering a different one from another seller that is expandable. This different one has more mesh to allow for better circulation (something that I get worried about being in the hot and humid south). And it also has an option to expand the back to where it has a little tent. That way Carrot Cake can comfortably and safely stay inside the carrier during picnics or on breaks during our hikes, but still a little bit more space to stretch her legs and move around.If this backpack had an option to be expandable, by even just a little bit, I probably wouldnât have bothered looking for a new one. But since I plan to take her on hikes, walks, Kayaking, and wherever I can, I want to make sure there will be enough space for a small battery powered fan if I needed one (esp with Summer coming up). And this backpack just does not have enough space for that and for my cat.

We went to Flagstaff, Az and didn’t want to leave her in the car. She was happy in there all snug as a bug. lol. We went into a restaurant and they were ok with bringing her inside since she was in this little bubble. So adorable and my husband was fine wearing it.

First came with a very odd smell that was hard to get rid of. Ended up spraying with rubbing alcohol to get rid of it. Otherwise an amazing product! Definitely better for smaller Cats. My cat is small, and she loves it, she keeps going in to it to just hang out, throws a fit when it isnât open. And she doesnât get scared when I pick it up cause of how sturdy the bottom is!
