Purrfect for small cat bowls!!! ð»
This is one suction cup and fits in a small glass cat bowl (from petco) perfectly. The suction cup does not come undone, I have to get my finger nail under the edge to pull it up so it is very secure. It is very easy to wash. I ended up trimming the arms for a custom fit. This is the only one that fits in a small bowl. The others had several suction cups on the bottom and were just a pinch too big to sit flat in the bowl. Besides, I can imagine how hard they will be to clean with all those extra crevices, this one is super easy to clean. The suction cup works even if the bowl is still damp after washing. It also sticks to my steel bowls just fine, I donât have any ceramic bowls to try it on but I imagine as long as there is a flat spot on the bottom it will stick. This is perfect to slow my cat Cheeto down. He can eat that entire bowl of food in two minutes, sometimes less. I put the glass bowl inside the steel bowl in the small/tall cat neater feeder. I feed my cats freeze dried raw food so itâs important to sterilize the dishes and I feel glass is the best. The neater feeder is required because my cat makes a mess, also this one is the taller version so heâs not bending down and choking. One of the pictures shows how it worked without the edits I made later (just before Cheeto licking his face). It fit, and each of the arms would curl around as they are pretty flexible, but it ended up being way too frustrating for my cat to get in between each arm to eat.It was very easy to trim, and I ended up cutting two of the arms off completely, even though in my pictures it shows a little bit sticking out. I kept making changes – see last photo for final result. I trimmed the 4 arms just enough so I can position them against the sides of the bowl providing 4 sections. Trim very little at a time, I went too fast and wish I had a millimeter more on each arm. But it still works great.Extra cat photos because I had to make up for the lack of kitty cat photos on this dog product. LOL!

Slows down a hungry dog
If you have a dog that just devours her food after you put it down, no doubt you’ve tried many things to slow her down just like me. Well this thing just works. No, it didn’t force her to chew every morsel but it does restrict her from just gulping down a bunch of food. Also, my dog is very aggressive when it comes to eating and this thing has not moved out of the bowl. As long as you know how a suction cup works( you have to wet it ) this will stay in place in the bowl. The bottom line is that this helped slow our dog down while eating and that makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Would be good but easy to destroy
Good concept but not great. Suction doesnât work well. Easy to destroy. Good size. Easy to clean. Not as durable as other food separators.

Great insert for existing bowls, even small ones!
We have a four month old Havanese puppy who loves his food so much that he would eat it all in 60 seconds! I started shopping for a bowl that would help slow him down but I didnât like the plastic puzzle bowls that I found. I wanted to keep the pretty bowl that matched the set and matched my house. When I found this insert, I was skeptical that it would fit in a small bowl less than 5 inches in diameter. But this insert worked well. It slowed down our puppy and fits in the bowl perfectly. The âwingsâ on the insert are flexible and will curve to allow it to fit in a small bowl. I was worried that the suction would not hold after reading some of the other reviews. But if you follow the directions and rinse the insert and then press it in your bowl while still wet, the suction is very strong. When I first put it in his bowl, our puppy barked at it for a few minutes. He would get close and then jump back. After a while his hunger took over and he started eating. This is a great purchase if you want to keep your pretty bowls while still slowing down your puppy.

Doesnât work
I disliked that it didnât work at all. There is one large suction cup that doesnât stick once you put food in and the dog starts eating. It might be good good for VERY small feed bowls but I doubt it. I had to buy something else that works like a charm and actually toss this one away. Thanks for giving me a chance to talk about this product. It needs to be re-engineered to work right. Even in a small bowl itâs not going to stay in place inâ¦P.S. it was delivered right on time and so I gave it a one star for thatâ¦

Even better than expected!
Easy five stars on all features. My dog would blow through a large bowl of food in minutes, never even taking a breath . Not good for digestion, etc. This thing didnât bother him at all, and it has slowed him right down. He still gets every little bit of food in his meal. It pops right out and cleans up in a minute. Suction cup stays right in the middle where you placed it. Well made, seems like it will last. Super happy with it … grab one for your speed eater.

Pretty soft for Labs
This product is a good idea but it is way to flimsy for our Lab puppy. She easily moves it off to any side that she would like to and continues to very quick eat right around it. The section isn’t bad it’s just to weak of a product for us. We have since went back to a solid bowl that does not fit the nice raised eating tray we have for her but the solid bowl does its job to slow down these walking eating machines call Labs.

Sturdy product but does not significantly reduce feeding speed
Our pup finishes his food in about 2 seconds and would gag and have hiccups. We needed something to increase his feeding time and didn’t want to invest in a whole new system right away. Since we already have a bowl this seemed like a great addition to try!The suction is great, our dog hasn’t been able to yank it yet. I have washed the bowl with this inside it in dishwasher and its still intact! It did not help with feeding a lot but did provide some minor obstacle to our pup whoch is good but might not work long time. So we’ll look into kong feeders for long term. Might work really well for small breed dogs.
