Nice little life jacket for a very small dog
We bought this after the XS jacket we picked up at Petco was way too big for our 5 lb toy poodle. This was the perfect size for our tiny pet, and she doesnât seem to mind wearing it either. We only had one opportunity to have her in the water with it before summer ended and she kind of freaked out, so I canât say too much about the level of buoyancy. I wish it came down her back a bit further but all in all it works well for what we needed.

Conforms perfectly time her body
Love, love, love this life jacket. My 6lb Yorkie canât wait to put it on every time I get it out. It fits like a glove and I feel completely safe with her in it. Weâve had this life jacket for about 3 years and still love it, however itâs time to get a new one due to fading from the sun.

I have a 4 # 7 oz Maltese and the small did not fit him. I was only able to attach the Velcro straps together at the very ends of each strap so I was afraid that with just a little moving around that the straps would come unattached. How much should the Velcro straps attach together? In the description a medium size shows it fits a dog that weighs a lot more than our dog.

Saved Our Tiny Babyâs Life!!!
Did some research and learned this was the best life vest for tiny doggies so I bought it for peace of mind. I know buying one thatâs too large can actually trap the dog underwater and drown them, so we made finding the right fit a priority.Our teacup Yorkie was 2 lbs in these photos when we first started taking her to a relativeâs house that was backed up to a harbor to practice swimming. Anytime we are on or around the water, I put it on out of habit. She doesnât mind it at all, especially because itâs easy to get on and off.And THANK GOD I did because itsaved her life this 4th of July when she was only 4 months old!Anyone whoâs been around the ocean (or any water) with kids knows how important safety measures are. I ran inside to assist a mom with an urgent medical need and left our dog with the moms and kids. During the 2 minutes I was inside, our puppy made a leap across the dock and missed, landing in the harbor. Because she was wearing her life vest, she was able to swim around the dock for the 2 minutes until a child saw her and was able to inform an adult who could rescue her. When she was pulled out of the ocean, she wasnât panicked because she was confident in her floating abilities. Everyone thought I would be so upset when I returned with the medical supplies, but honestly, I just felt relieved that my husband and I took her safety so seriously, even when finding a teeny life vest that fit was difficult.Needless to say, I would highly recommend this vest, especially to teacup puppy parents! And I would highly recommend putting your puppy in a vest any time youâre around water as an added measure.

We liked the soft neoprene but the product came in defected out of the box and the handle on the back of this life jacket is so thin we couldn’t even use it to lift our 7 lbs dog. We had to return it and will have to order a different brand from our female dog.

Too small for my chuweenie.
Product is ok but i have a very small dog and the xxs is too small. If you have a squirrel it might fit. And the return policy isnt very good. Remember to pay a little extra for a prime item.

Great float coat for your small pooch. Well made durable life jacket and ensures the dog’s body is right side up with ample room for breathing. We use it for our Shitsu in our swimming pool:-)
